I will wait to see if the game is good enough.  The free Wiimote is nice, but if the game if bad it is still $10 extra.

I voted No, but I didn't think Sports was terrible.

As I said in another thread, this game looks terrible. It shouldn't even be called a game. I'd rather waste my time wrestling with a polar bear on a glacier with no clothes on then play this game. I'd rather just buy the Wiimote by itself than buy it with this game.

Can you buy this game only with the extra controller or can you buy it on it's own?  Any ideas guys?

WiiPlay is bundled with a Wiimote. I doubt they'l sel it separately.

I remember when the Eye Toy first came out with Eye Toy Play, the game, they only sold them with the camera.  Then they released just the game.

Do you think that Eye Toy Play and Wii Play are made by the same compay?

Considering that Wii Play is a first party Nintendo game, I serriously doubt it...

A friend of mine already has this game in the UK.
He said that most people order this game because they want the extra controller.  They keep the controller and put the game on ebay.  That's how he bought his for a really good price.

After tomorrow, I'm going to keep an eye out on ebay to see if any come available.

BTW, he said the game is amazing.

I kinda figured thats what was going to happen with the game. A few minutes worth of fun and then tossed aside on Ebay or EBgames. Thats where I will probably be picking it up.

They came out with the Eye Toy and game at the same time. You probably bought it after it was released.

i hav mine pre-ordered and i am getting it today...i'll see how fun it is...it comes with the wii-mote of course...zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz...

That extra remote is a tease... and Wii Sports was surprisingly fun. Even with Zelda I still pop it in now and then, so I'm sure more mini-games like that would be fun for 10 bucks.

At the game store I work at, it's 50 bucks for the WiiPlay with remote, and 20 bucks for just the game seprately (brand new of course.) 20 is way too much, considering all the goodies there are on the VC now.

This might be a good game to show off the Wii to nongamers, but definately is not worth it otherwise.

I think you're the only one that I have heard rave about Wii Play. Because I haven't heard anything good about the game yet. Besides that, I hope Nintendo starts coming out with actual games instead of this flash flood of mini games like Wii Sports, Wii Play, Wario Ware, and so on.

At least WarioWare had tons of microgames. The annoying thing was multiplayer being lame and lack of bonus but pointless things.

Great signature...but Wario Ware still isn't worth $50 and these mini-game games may be fun for awhile but wheres the game that I can sink my teeth into? Sure, Zelda...whatever. I was promised no drought of wii games at launch but games like Mario Galaxy and Metroid keep getting pushed back further and further and we might not see them till next Christmas. Everybody loves Super Mario Paper, but its Mario...and I'm tired of Mario, he's getting worn out. I want something new...yet good. Screw Wiiplay.

hey man, dont hate untill you play. i was just playing for like 2 hours solo, it was pretty fun. the only person to decide wheather you like it or not is YOU, so go out there, and rent it! and you decide for yourself

I never said WarioWare was worth the 50 bucks, especially since Multiplayer is stale using one wiimote and after getting all microgames... whatever. Blah. Old.

I'd rather games get pushed back though. It really makes them better, and that much more fun. Except for Mario, I just want it pushed back because Mario is really getting "too old for this sh**." Without going into my whole rant, any game with "Mario" in the title released recently has fallen really short. It's like buying this totally awesome sandwich that tastes AMAZING except there's mayonayse on it, and you hate mayonayse. Sure, you can scrape it off, but theres still mayonayse taste on it. Mario Party 8 is the first Mario Party to spark my interest since the second one. It seems like they made it so it's completely random who wins every game (mostly because the end-game stars you get for arbitrary accomplishments.) Getting back on topic, however...


This has got to be the best advice ever. If theres a way you can try the games out for cheap/free at a store/friend's house then do it, and see for yourself.

OK, I've already said that the game is cool.  And since it's release in the UK a couple of months ago, you still can't just walk into a shop to buy it besause EVERY shop is sold out - they can't ship them fast enough.
You wait - it will be the same in the States too.  I've been try to find one since Monday and they are all sold out around where I live.  That's how good Wii Play is!

No, it came out on Monday the 12th.

I might pick it up. It looks fun and comes with a Remote.
