Title: Megaman Should make a comeback
Post by: Tails on February 12, 2007, 12:30:16 AM
ok ok we have all talked about zelda and mario VC but no one cares about megman. The megaman we all knew and loved for the SNES. i know there must be some people who want megaman as a VC besides me.

if they put megaman x on the vc im downloading ASAP. i looooved x sooo much, i never rested untill i had ALL the hearts, ALL the energy tanks, ALL extra upgrades and the hadoken! makes any enemy in the game look like a fool as long as you have full health. heck yeah, throw it on there nintendo! its not out of the realm of reality either as capcom has already released street fighter 2 on vc and as we all know capcom is not shy about using megaman as their own cash cow as evidenced by the gajillion megaman games that have been released lately.

Megaman on VC doesn't necessarily sound like a comeback to me. Just sounds like blowing dust off an old game and throwing it around like a cheap, useless whore.

Megaman on Wii...thats a comeback.

id rather the x game come out on the wii. the newest megaman games have been complete and utter crap that either requires more memorization than you can possibly imagine or care to do (megaman x8 and zx ) or just plain repetitive by making you go back and forth and back and forth and back and forth and killing the same creatures over and over and over again every two steps and getting killed because you didnt save yet and some super version of a boss you fought not even 10 minutes ago. (megaman battle network.....ANY) unless they are totally gonna try something new they can give the new megaman games to sony and dust off the megaman x game for me and those who remember megaman as something greater than a cashcow with sore udders.

As for the classic MegaMans, there is already an Anniversary Collection on Gamecube... So who knows if those will come out.

MegaMan X was absolutely awesome, but I'd rather have a new game using the Wii's controls myself...

...as long as it wasn't a First Person Shooter.

Megaman games have all been good, but they have never been the games that you play months after you have beaten them once.  If they made a new one, I would probably play it, but I would not buy it.

Old megaman games I would really consider buying if I have the money, but a new megaman game on wii would be horrible. Has anyone played a newer megaman game? horrible. If they amde a new 2D game, like NEW Super Mario Bros., I would buy it in a second. They don't get it, megaman wasn't meant for 3D. I would love a Megaman NT game for wii though.

I understand the concern of a new megaman game sucking and the very possible pattern that would continue on the Wii if a new one did come out. And I understand the concern of it in third person (because in first person, it would just be a metroid prime rip-off). And I hear you that its replay may not be the greatest and might just be a rental. However, Megaman is an icon. And I think Capcom should try to revive the series one last time. I prefer the old school Megaman, who could take enemies powers over the very strategic NT Warrior who needs card swipes to gain different powers. However, I like the Megaman characters more in the NT Warrior more and would prefer to see the robots from there battling on either side of Dr. Light or Dr. Wally. Whatever does happen, I think Capcom should give Megaman one last shot on the Wii in a 3D thid-perspective shooter. If it fails, then *#&@ me for ever suggesting the idea.

Never said I wanted a 3D megaman, but it would be interesting to see Megaman on wii. The problem with re-releasing the older titles is there are collection discs on the gamecube for about 15 bucks.

The New Super Mario Bros was decently fun, but terribly short. If they made a new Megaman game, I wouldn't want it short at all.

And I didn't care much for the Megaman: Powered Up on PSP. I'd hope they don't make it like that either.

if you like losing alot.... the boss battles are really hard. best newest mega man game is mega man maverick hunter on the psp..... and its a remake of mega man x! no indeed, the newest mega man games arent that great..... except the anniversary collection for obvious reasons.
