I just received the message from Nintendo and am already updating right now. I'm surprised that this was able to be kept a secret. I really don't know how exciting or useful this vote channel will be, but I'll mess around with it as soon as the update is finished. So this kind of leads me to believe that Nintendo can keep some stuff a secret and it will be interesting to await other channels Nintendo has up their sleeve.

hey! this channel isn't half bad! they have quite a few polls, and you can predict what you think will win. You get to use your Mii to represent who you are. It's pretty cool!

EDIT: What you CAN do is just go to your Wii Internet Settings, click "Test Connection" and the connection will test, if it is successfull it will ask you "Preform system update now?" and then walla! :em-24:

Nope, I live in the US. The weird thing about the situation is that I was jammin out to some music on finetune and the browser froze up. I had to go over to the Wii hold the power button for longer than usual. I finally restarted the Wii and behold the Nintendo message and a message from a friend that was sent a couple hours before showed up. For some reason messaging on the Wii can take quite a while before it's received.

Yeah, I saw the screenshots for it. Everyone kind of seems excited about it although the vote channel seems so stupid.

It is pretty stupid at the moment, but I suspect it will eventually be used to poll the masses to get a sense of what kinds of games they like, or other stuff they could use to make better games.

I just updated my Wii but I didnt get any new channel...........

You don't have to update it to get it, you have to go to the Wii shop channel and download it.

yes you do..... after you download it to choose where you live You have to update

Any tips? I can never really connect to the shop channel very easily sadley...

OK, you need to find your router settings from your computer. Just keep searching the internet on how. Then, you need to change the router channel to 1 or 11. IT HELPS.

or, if you REALLY want it, just pm me and ill walk you through it.

Thanks for the help but i went for the easy solution and just moved my Wii a little farther away from stuffs. It helped, but yeah...now I can do anything without a problem...infact I moved my Wii back to its orignal spot and it works better than ever, I have no idea why  :em-32:
