1  Wii-volution Related / News Discussion / Re: Confirmed: No Online for Metroid Prime 3 on: July 12, 2007, 09:19:23 PM
I was expecting the announcement of "Metroid Prime Hunters 2" for the wii at E3.  You know its going to happen.  Why would they give you both single and multiplayer for $50 when they can indirectly charge you $100 for it?

Must be lucky, but I've seen them in stores several times since then, not every day, but several times since release,

I figure I can still get over retail for it used if I sell it, then in a few months when the good games are out and you can walk into most stores and buy them, I'll buy another one.

Honestly, I've been considering selling the wii lately as well.  Just don't play it that much.
5  Nintendo Wii / Wii - General / Re: wireless sensor bar on: May 14, 2007, 11:33:49 AM
NO i meant you plug the wavebird in to the gc but new adapters are being made for phones and stuff that transmit radio waves into power that it can run on. sorry bou dat. hey if someone gets a wireless bar that works, can you mail it to me plz!!! :em-29:

Do us a favor and post a link to whatever the hell you're talking about.  Electromagnetic Waves (Radio, X-rays, visual light, ect) can't transmit electricity.  I guess something like a modified solar panel might work for longer waves, but that wouldn't produce anywhere near enough power to do anything with.  Post a link to a reputable source about this, please.

What's a wiikey?

Mod chip to play import/backup games.

I'll probably pick one up once the wii becomes easy to find, but I don't want to burn mine out now when I wouldn't be able to easily replace it.

9  Nintendo Wii / Wii - General / Re: Who hasnt found a wii yet. And how did you get yours (People who have it) on: April 28, 2007, 10:16:40 PM
I waited outside to preorder one for all of like, 3 hours I think.  Then I picked it up at midnight.

Oh Meridian, you didn't camp out for your gamestop preorder.  You were there after me, which means you stood outside for less than 2 hours.

You can't really compare a computer to a console, they really fill 2 different roles, even when gaming, and they are really for different kinds of people.

My Monferno is at like 38 I think.  I haven't played for a few days though.  2 more weeks til finals are over, then I can enjoy it.

hey im 14 and i dont have a job i live in chicago but i dont know where to get a job.

I have come to believe that the best place for young people to get jobs is working at a restaurant.  You probably won't be able to be hired til around 15 though.  Find one close by and get yourself a job as a dishwasher or a busser.  Then, bust your ass and impress your bosses, and you'll be moved up in no time.  Once you impress them enough for them to train you as a line cook (be patient, could take a year or 2) then you're set.  Once you know how to do that, you'll never be stuck for a job, you can always find one.  On top of that, depending on the Restaurant, cooks can get paid extremely well.  I started cooking at 7.15/hr at age 17.  At 19, I was making 10/hr cooking, with several people I know making over 12/hr.  Right now, I took a slight paycut and took job making 8/hr to help a friend of my Dad's, but I'll be getting another raise there soon.

Another thing with cooking is you can always expect to recieve plenty of Overtime if you're good and want it, and that time and a half sure adds up.  On top of that, days off are generally easy to come by, even if paid vacation is a rare commodity.

By working a full week (max is 40 hours) I can make just under $200. But for 40 hours, that isn't a lot.

Not really alot, but about all you can expect at your age.

Well this sucks. I got Diamond and can't play it. You know why? Because I can't find my f-ing  AC Adapter. DS is out of battery.

Ps. You can always improvise and use an AR if you have to.

That happened to me Saturday night.  Spent 2 hours searching til I found my DS cable.  Was worth it though, since I already put a good 5-6 hours into Diamond.
