Back when I worked at Kmart, they reported the loses attributed to stealing. Our store lost $300,000 that year just from people stealing cards... as in birthday cards etc..  Grin

Be thankful you don't live in Australia, we don't even have Zack and Wiki yet. And when we do get it, it'll cost twice as much as games anywhere else in the world do. Just like all other games here :p

Not really caring much about this game. I cannot understand the hype surrounding it, unless its a completely different game to the previous two... can't see much room for making it that great.

It did get a perfect score in Famitsu though which is a pretty serious achievement so maybe I will be surprised.

As a fan of Rare, Valve and EAD games I'm rather accustomed to delays. Perfect Dark was the worst. Never wanted a game that much and the damned thing had such a HUGE delay...

To be honest, my mum has like a full on old school Nokia brick. It has one of those batteries thats about the size of the phone and clips on the back. Even if I had that phone I can't say I've ever been using it and thinking GOD DAMNIT THIS PHONE IS TOO SLOW! Calling someone on that phone takes under 5 seconds, how much faster does it need to be?

On my phone I press say 1 and send and its calling my 1st speed dial. That takes under a second but I wouldn't care if it took me a bit longer... I'm rarely in a situation where a few seconds matter..

Games are full of uncreative douchebags so they often stick to cookie cutter builds. It happens in all RPG's. And yeah I wouldn't play WoW just because it costs money monthly. Its not a problem because I can't afford it, its a principle thing. That and after D2 I hated Blizzard.

I don't play GW because its free, so are all my FPS. But if it WASN'T free. I wouldn't play it either. It can be as good as it wants to be but until it starts making me coffee's and giving me massages I'm not going to pay a monthly fee for a game..

I would put myself in the take care of things category, all of my games, cameras, computer gear, books are all in perfect condition because I am pedantic about how well I take care of them.

Except my phone. I talk to my girlfriend on that, and that means its destined to be hurled against walls and whatever object happens to be in range. So I can vouch for the K700i being a tough bastard I put that through some serious punishment before the speaker broke...

Lmao yes you are right there GW is pretty much gaming communism but hey I play it because I like it Smiley I'm glad to find an MMO that isn't about grinding and addiction, its just fun. I do understand the many people saying they can't get into it.. some do some don't. Its always weird when some new person signs up to GWRealm and says "wow I just started and im already sooo addicted" I just don't get it! A lot of people are not that happy about GW2 because it sounds too much like WoW and the people who play GW don't want that, if they did they would play WoW!?

I'm skeptical about some things but I choose to give them the benefit of the doubt, I'm sure they know competing with WoW would be dumb. The level 20 cap which is reached relatively early on (depending on the game) was put in place so the game would rely more on the players skill than level and gear. Once you're 20 its all up to you to make the best out of the combination of ...buggered if I know how many skills now... theres so many combinations and nothing is locked in so you can do what you want. No need to grind your way to some unattainably high level. If you wish to be better than other players... well its probably pretty obvious to a lot of others that I'm doing quite well for myself in the game if they look at what my characters are wearing... and that theres 12 of them all wearing it. Then theres titles, they're pure showoff value. And getting them is a daunting task at times. None of the things you get to show off are luck though, you don't get some super drop you can lord over everyone else, you earn it. If you want to be better you have to work for it.

But hey I'm pretty biased when it comes to GW  Grin

Should try NFS:Carbon it doesn't get hard until the last race Tongue least you could say you finished it hehe

I have to agree with GW but you have to give it time. It took me 2 months to actually get into, other than that I would play it for an hour at most and be bored lifeless. But somewhere along the line a switch flicked and now I've played it over 3000 hours and own every expansion and have one of every character Smiley its just one of those games, not your traditional RPG which is addictive straight away because its basically virtual crack, but GW keeps me coming back just because its a good game and great to play. No addiction, no uber drops which need to be found to finish or get anywhere... its an MMO that has something for casual players and hardcore players alike. The only thing I got out of earning 1.5m gold was pretty looking armor and weapons. Someone with no money could get the same damage and stats from a collector without spending anything, just collecting some monster drops. Thats why its a great game, even casuals can mix it with the best.

Weirdly enough I see Razr's everywhere but have never seen that Chocolate thing before. But then I live in Australia so surprise suprise  Roll Eyes

It all depends on your tastes I guess. I had a flip phone for about a week and hated the thing and went back to a candybar or "brick" as you call it. My mum briefly owned a Razr and I found it annoying to use for texting, I don't use the dictionary and the repeat rate was too slow. That and I don't like the feel of the buttons. But for other people it must have a lot going for it because I see it everywhere.

I have one possible reason not to get that phone in white, if it bothers you that is. Thats a pretty damned feminine looking phone.

I have Sony Ericsson which I bet a lot of people hate. I just like how it texts. Thats all. Can't remember the model its a K something i. But I'm probably not going to buy another SE because the charger port drives me nuts, my old phone which was a K700i had a different charger port so i hoped its problems would be ironed out but no this ones ended up even worse. Getting the bloody thing to charge is like playing that operation game - tilt it slightly as you're putting it down and you'll have to wiggle it again to get it to realize it has a power plug up its arse.

Hehe I always pre-ordered the Guild Wars games because when you do so you pay normal price for Collectors edition which gives you for example:

That chunky longer book is an art book which is full of the concept art all printed nicely. Buggered if I can remember what a lot of the other stuff is... Think theres a Soundtrack, Making of, Map, that Manuscripts book (full of Lore and such), and the little velvet bag had something... cant remember what.

Anyway I got all that before the game released for $100. I also pre-ordered Crysis to get the CE which comes with what they should have called an Art PAMPHLET not book  Angry but awesomely enough, a tin DVD case. And some other stuff but the art book is all I ever buy it for so it was lucky the cool tin case saved it..
