Ahhh, I love haiku threads. To MG: you don't really "play," you just write a poem in haiku form. A haiku is created by counting syllables for lines. The first line has five syllables, the second 7, and the third 5. 5-7-5. Usually better if you don't try to rhyme.
So long in college Gaming is now a lost art- I wish for a wii.
From what I've heard, this show is a surprise hit in the ratings department and is extremely popular after just half the season. I've been following it since episode 1. It's like X-Men, but without the costumes or the school for gifted youngsters. It's made me say "Whoah!" more than once, which is very good.
I'll just restate what I mentioned in another thread:
Look at the list of forums, and check how many topics and posts each has. The ones that have significantly fewer can probably be combined. This makes for happier forum users and a more tightly knit group feeling. Cozy.
I was going to suggest this, but I found this topic first so I'll just add my voice to the "fewer forums" argument. I don't know if I'd break the forums down exactly as proposed; for example, I think you still need a Lounge area. Every message board needs a lounge area. But I think a lot of the different forums could easily be combined, for example, just about everything under the heading "Wii-volution Related." I'd divide the Off Topic stuff into the Lounge, which would include all computer topics and forum games, since those are only a handful of threads, and then keep creative seperate.
If you scroll down the main list of forums and see just how few topics are in some of the sub categories, it'll give you some ideas of what can be consolidated by merging into other forums.
Often, boards that start out with very concise forums will expand as needed, but boards that start out with too many often have problems with members connecting since everybody spends time in a different section. Better to start small; I think you'll probably get more traffic if everybody's hanging out together in a few carefully designated forums.
