Nintendo should take the Geist ip away from Nspace, and give it to Retro or NST...or maybe outsource it Free Radical. Heck, give it to an experienced developer. Geist could be a really great series if they could just give it to a decent developer. Hopefully the first title's failure won't affect a sequel's development.

Mario Galaxy, Dragon Quest Swords, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles, No More Heroes,  Metroid Prime 3, and Fire Emblem will all be owning all of my free gaming time next year. I can't wait until these titles hit.  Those are my most wanted games, but there are some others I'd like to see turn out good. Stuff like Prince Of Persia, SSX Blur, and Mortal Kombat all look/soung pretty cool and I eagerly await more on these games.

I'm still out on stuff like Forever Blue, Disaster Day Of Crisis and Battalion Wars 2--I really don't know enough about these to pass judgement yet.

On a sidenote: Do we know anything at all about Sword of Legendia? I really hope the game is nothing like Tales Of Legendia--I hated everything about it. (Characters, music, art) It was all pretty horrid. That's pretty odd for me, considering I usually try to find things I like about any game.

Yeah, he's been dead for a while. All of his recent shows are followed by a  "in loving memory of" message.  He wouldn't be making the game anyway...he's an artist, not a game designer.

This is good news indeed. The day I read about Bob Ross being in development for the Wii, is the day I became really interested in the system. I really love quirky, unique games and Bob Ross painting seemed to fit the role pretty well. The gaming industry needs  more unique titles outside of the norm. Can't wait to play this, painting with the Wiimote should be really cool. This could also apeal to nongamers with stuff like tutoring in painting.  <--We love ya Mr. Ross, rest in peace.

This is really good news! This is the one thing the Wii needs to survive: more exclusives. Exclusives are the reason people buy your product (something the Gamecube really dropped the ball on.) Bigger news still is that not only exclsuve, it's an exculsive from EA--an a big one at that. With the great work they did on Madden '07 (Wii) I have high expectations for SSX Blur, and hope it turns out to be a worthwhile addition to the Wii's lineup.
22  Nintendo Wii / Game Chat / Re: Elebits on: December 06, 2006, 11:39:55 PM
There's still a bit more to the game than we know right now--so I'll reserve my opinion until I have sufficient play time with it. I will say that it doesn't look kiddy--just like Katamari Damacy,  it's simplistic appearance may have a kiddy appearance, but that doesn't mean that the game actually is. I'm sure Elebits will offer a fair amount of challenge. Think about other possible WiiConnect 24 uses; downloadable levels, new Elebit types, etc--this could be a great sleeper hit for the Wii.

I'm not totally sure that I'll be purchasing Elebits next month though, Super Swing Golf looks really promising from previews and it looks be a more fleshed out experience than Wii Sports Golf. Not to mention that the PC version rocks. I know that, eventually, I'll probably end up buying both, because they both look like nice additions to the Wii's evergrowing library of games.
23  Wii-volution Related / News Discussion / Re: Article: Wii-volution Reviews: Excite Truck on: December 07, 2006, 11:16:23 PM
Nice review!

Excite Truck is a bit bare-bones, but it's really fun for a launch title. Especially if you play with a friend. The graphics are nice, the speed reminds me of F-Zero, and customized sound tracks are always a plus in my book. One thing stood out above everything else for me though; the controls. They were some of the best, smoothest contols I've ever experienced in an arcade racing game like Excite Truck.

Though not 'AAA' status, Excite Truck is still alot of fun and worth checking out.
24  Nintendo Wii / Game Chat / Metal Slug Anthology? on: December 05, 2006, 11:08:36 PM
What happened to it? The game was supposed to be ready in time for the Wii's launch--Two weeks and nothing. I'm positive that it wasn't cancelled (considering it's already gone gold...)

I first head that it was delayed a week, but that's obviously false--so what happened to it? Has it been delayed to even further down the line? If so, for how long? Does it have another 'concrete' launch date now?

I would really like to know. I love Metal Slug and this was one of my most-wanted games for the Wii launch. I'd hate to miss it, considering it'll probably have a really limited print-run.

You have Finale 2006...lucky.

Mine's gaming related. The Dreamcast was the greatest system ever. My favorite game was Jet Set Radio...they should remake it for the Wii. Heck...give a sequel on ANY system and I'll buy it.

26  Nintendo DS / DS - General / Re: Ear Buds for the DS??? on: December 06, 2006, 11:54:12 PM
Take my advice when I say this: Nintendo-brand earbuds are garbage. If you want really nice earbuds, our friends at Apple can help us out:

http://store.apple.com/1-800-MY-APPLE/WebObjects/AppleStore.woa/wa/RSLID?mco=19333F51&nplm=TF863LL%2FA

I ordered a pair of those a week ago and just got them today. They are probably some of the best, highest-quality earbuds I've ever has the pleasure of owning, and they are well worth the price. Yes, $99 is pretty steep, but they're great. I'd reccomend them to anyone.
27  Nintendo Wii / Wii - General / Re: Remember what ubisoft said about zelda? on: December 03, 2006, 06:45:35 PM
For launch, Red Steel will take #2 seller. According to a few reports, Red Steel has been selling very well. I suppose the fact that Ubisoft has a sequel in the works shows that RS has been, at the very least, a mild success.

I'm glad too, The first Red Steel is a really neat concept all it needs is a little more development time--hopefully the sequel will reach the potential the first game failed to obtain.
28  Nintendo Wii / Wii - General / Re: Wii availability on: December 03, 2006, 08:04:58 PM
I'm hoping to find a Wii before Christmas, I doubt I will though. The day the Wii came out I was under the impression that I would just be able to walk into a store, and just pick one up. (I was wrong...) I drove around for a few hours looking, but to no avail.

I did get a call from mylocalWal*Mart. (Well, ONE of the local ones...) They said they'd be getting a new shipment of them in sometime early this week. Hopefully, I'll be able to pick one up then...If not, my coppies of Trauma Center and Zelda will remain unplayed.
29  Nintendo Wii / Game Chat / Re: ssx blur announced. on: December 03, 2006, 09:05:44 PM
SSX Blur looks pretty cool, it should tide me over until a new 1080 game comes out. The graphics didn't look half bad and it seemed to follow the same formula as SSX 3 (so much better than On Tour). I hope that I'll be able to use custom sound tracks with the game.

SSX Blur is a Wii exclsuive, right? I'm buying it for that reason--gotta support those exclusive. (I encourage everyone else to support them as well...)
30  Nintendo Wii / Game Chat / Re: call of duty compared on: December 05, 2006, 11:01:45 PM
Wow, the Wii version doesn't look that bad (visually) in comparison to the other two versions. The Xbox 360 is the clear victor in terms of visuals, but the Wii version stacks up better than I ever thought it would. Controls look nice and fluid. Hopefully Dall Of Duty 4 will have online multiplayer...

This was a nice start, but I suppose the game was rushed--it could have been so much more.
