1 Nintendo Wii / Game Chat / Re: Trauma Center: worth moving to from DS version? on: December 12, 2006, 02:16:03 PM
From what I have read about it, it looks like it's not quite a sequel, but there's enough changes to the game to make it a worthwhile buy. Gamespot has some great videos reviewing it.
http://www.gamespot.com/wii/adventure/traumacentersecondopinion/index.html?q=Trauma%20Center

My brother and I still play our annual Tecmo Bowl Thanksgiving game... and my brother still stomps a mudhole in me every year with his friggin Chicago Bears... curse you Walter Payton... you will be beaten someday!!!! But yeah, it holds a special place in my heart... end zone to end zone passes for the win.

One of my friends got me one a few months ago, and to be honest, it's just gathered dust... the controller was clunky, and the games were sub-standard in comparison to the other systems out at the time. But, it's a great piece of nostalgia... :-D

Here's another one... SNES... A kid from the town of Podunk and his dog accidentally get transported to another world. Through the use of combining items (alchemy) you can create items to help you on your way through this strange new world. As you travel through this world, your dog transforms as well to match the place (and time) you are in.

also, I'm gonna add another one which was for the NES for you guys to guess. I know what it is already, I just want to see if there's anyone else here who liked this game back in the day as much as I did.

You're a kid on a tropical island and you hit random bad-guys with a yo-yo. And there was a scene where for 30 seconds you had to watch the words: "run run hurry hurry" over and over with the mian character running.

first one to get this gets my respect.

Gonna go with Startropics 2: Zoda's Revenge....

Ok, I'll throw one in the mix, just for the fun of it :-) A game for the NES, and I remember the beginning, where you pick a family member out of a bunch in a cabin... and then you go out and quest and gather items... I think you end up going underground at one point, and you can go back and switch family members throughout the game. sorry, can't remember it that well... that's why I'm here though!

Strange thread name, eh?

Well, what I was wondering (and hoped will get answered here) is a game's name. I think that others might have the same question for some other games too. I will describe what I remember from the game...

Let's get started:

You were a knight, or something like a knight, the sure thing is you had a sword. The first level had a snowed (what a word) mountain as a background. What I remember doing was entering a cave, obtaining a golden egg, climbing to the mountain's top and then showing my egg. A bird came and catched the egg and me. End of story! Tongue That's all I remember. Any ideas?

I gotta agree with a previous poster... I'm thinking it's Wizards and Warriors 2: Ironsword...
