The popular Japanese magazine, Famitsu, has recently released new images of Mario Kart Wii. Not only that, but new information about the game has also been released.

Halo 3 got the same kind of reviews. Some people love it. Some...not so much.

Its a sequel. People expect a lot. Sometimes, too much. Halo 3 got that. Spiderman 3 (the movie) got that. And Super Smash Bros. Brawl is getting it. Its more of the same with some added tweeks. But in all honesty, isn't that what we wanted?

How many of us enjoyed Super Mario Bros? And what about Super Mario Bros 2? Completely different games. But what about Super Mario Bros 3 (the true sequel of the original)? Loved it.

the rest of the game appears to be stunning. But take a quick look at
GameFAQs review section, and you will see quite a variety of positive

I love these "obscure titles of the week" articles. Its something completely original to Wiivo and its always informative.

I would remark on the game, but what caught my eye the most here was that you mentioned, "Fahrenheit." Are we talking about the state-side released game known as Indigo Prophecy (originally called Fahrenheit, released in Europe under its original name)? If so...that game kicks ass...

If Tunguska can be half the game that game was...then Tunguska has officially claimed Puff Daddy as its new gaming whore. And when I first lay my eyes on it, I will whisper to it..."don't be hard, its my first time."

The obscure title of the week is finally here, my apologies
for the lateness of it and especially since my net was down last night when I
said it would be up.

So, [st1:place w:st=on]Tunguska[/st1:place].....what's this all about apart

In Japan, the game comes out January 31st...however, Nintendo has warned Japan that there will be a shortage of SSBB on release dates. Furthermore, Nintendo even warned importers looking to get the game sooner to stay away since the shortage is for real.

USA will get it March 8th, and PAL regions.....f*** 'em. Thats pretty much Nintendo's idea right now. Start with the homeland, and then conquer outwards...

Call me Mr. Conspiracy Theory...because I'm still not buying into the R.O.B. thing. Wasn't he shown as a bad guy in the emissarary space (or however you spell it) campaign?

And while Lucario is a debatable addition...SSBB is practically a pokemon game with all the different pokemon in it, yet Lucario is becoming quite the popular pokemon - I mean ever since he smoked in the boy's locker room, Lucario was destined for greatness. I don't know...its just. Lucario. He looks like a starved african child with large ear studs and wearing MC Hammer pants. I think he might be fruitier than even my beloved balloon pokemon.

Love the new Sonic the Hedgehog stage though...

I'm not quite sure what the problem is or was...but to throw this one out there, earlier today I could get on the homepage but then none of the other links worked. Couldn't acess the forums. Now, I won't say that my wiivo wronged me, but I do want to say that while my DSL connection at school as far more superior than the dial-up connection at home - the DSL still kicks out and I can't access pages. So now that the cat is out of the bag...lets all get naked.
54  Nintendo Wii / Game Chat / Re: I paid 10 bucks for No More Heroes!!! on: January 28, 2008, 10:37:33 AM
Back when I worked at Kmart, they reported the loses attributed to stealing. Our store lost $300,000 that year just from people stealing cards... as in birthday cards etc..  Grin

Birthday cards?

Same friend from work, often, told me that when he was 16 or so, he would steal Magic: The Gathering packs from Walmart. Just walk in, pick it up, and walk back out. Then, when he was home, unpack them all and sell the doubles on Ebay. This was when Magic was considered to be, 'teh sh1t.' He said he made a couple hundred, maybe 3 to 5 hundred, in a week. So he kept it up until he was 18, then he decided that being caught might send him to Pound-me-in-da-butt Prison.

I know at Target, some of the most likely stuff be stolen is some of the weirdest stuff. Such as, with DVDs, the most stolen DVD (as I last knew of) was an I love Lucy season whatever DVD. And Target security had to keep track of inventory to make sure it was being stolen. Its that bad. Go figure-

But also...anyone actually play No More yet? Is it any again? And how repetitive is it? I've heard mixed reviews.

Thats great! I mean, its stealing. But its still great news for you. Now, I'll be honest with you - I'd do the same thing.

My one friend at work was telling me the one time that his friend went to Walmart and was buying a HDTV and a Xbox 360. While checking out, they never rung up the 360. He paid for the HDTV, and placed the 360 on top and walked out. So, he got a 360 for free.
56  Wii-volution Related / News Discussion / Re: Wii May get Voice Chat on: January 26, 2008, 10:41:25 AM
As much as I hate Xbox 360 and Microsoft being in the video game industry....they sure did get the online play right. I think part of that may be because they are a computer company and computer games have been online far longer than video games. And because of that unique experience Microsoft has over Nintendo and Sony, thats why they nailed the online play.

Yeah well...anyways...I'm sure we'll be lucky to get voice chat on the Wii. I was thinking about it, and it seems like it would work out real nice with the blue-tooth technology. Private chats, friend invites, and much of everything else is on my wish list too....but being able to communicate is top priority. And since the Wii doesn't have that yet...then thats the first thing I want before I worry about the rest.
57  Wii-volution Related / News Discussion / Re: Wii May get Voice Chat on: January 25, 2008, 05:07:28 PM
This would be great....as a matter of fact, Nintendo shouldn't even consider it...this is a must.

Who the hell wants to type during an online match? Or see the stupid text bubbles pop up from your SSBB character? I just want to yell obscene language into a microphone while I pummel my opponent with various uppercuts to the nads.
58  Wii-volution Related / News Discussion / Re: First Ever SSBB Leak! on: January 25, 2008, 04:59:04 PM
Jigglypuff is kind of expected. Lucario is a big deal nowadays in the world of Pokemon. But, isn't this maybe a bit of an overload on the pokemon in SSBB? Afterall, we have a pokemon trainer who has three pokemon under his belt. I love pokemon as much as the next college undergrad....but come on. There are better characters to put in the game than just pokemon.
59  Wii-volution Related / News Discussion / Re: No More Heroes - Review! on: January 23, 2008, 10:49:55 AM
No, believe me buddy. I have hit the bottom of the bank account and I got no job.

But if you get it before me, let me know if its worth it. Kind of was looking forward to this game...just like I was looking forward to Zack and Wiki - a game, I have not bought or played yet but is said to be the first true game for the Wii that could only be played on the Wii....this is something I have complained about for so long, no true Wii games....everything is just a port or remade game of gamecube. And here are original titles like Zack and Wiki is, and No More Heroes....and all I want is SSBB, a remade game. Man! I'm such a hypocrit. From now on, everyone should boycott my words.

Its a shame we ever got rid of it. I got to admit....as dumb as the shop is in theory, it was pretty fun to buy pictures of consoles with my virtual cash.
