Right now there isn't any information on how to order these new straps or even where you can find them, but once there is I'll be sure to post an update including it.

Article: Wii Remote Straps Updated Yet Again

' ]
Nintendo has apparently found the restrengthed Wii Remote replacement straps to be unsatisfactory, as it appears a fourth version has begun circulation. You can see the image at left of the new strap, which features a new locking clip. The new clip has no doubt been put in place to address the problem of the holding piece which can slide downward during prolonged play. Nintendo replaced the original straps during early December, and yet another strap was designed that was even stronger, but may have been unofficial as they did not bear the Wii or Nintendo logos. Hopefully this new design will further protect televisions, windows, and innocent bystanders alike.

Oh my mistake then. Sorry.
7  Wii-volution Related / News Discussion / Re: Article: It`s been months, but FINALLY, a NEW Brawl Character! on: August 01, 2007, 08:25:17 PM
I changed the title. There have been several new Brawl players revealed. Just last week they revealed Knuckle Joe and some other guy with green hair before that. I don't know if you intended to, but you made it seem as if this was the first new character revealed in awhile.

You can change it if you don't like it, but I just didn't want it to be so misleading.

To all our friends across the pond anxiously awaiting Mario's latest flat adventure get ready, because the European release date has been set for September 14th. Super Paper Mario is the third game in the series that blends old-school 2D platforming with modern role-playing elements. Although originally developed for the GameCube after several delays it was moved to the Wii. The game plays similarly to the past titles in the franchise, but what makes the new game unique is that now you'll be able to flip from 2D to 3D which presents it's own new set of challenges. Prepare to have your platforming skills put to the test when Super Paper Mario releases across Europe this fall.

Article: New Nintendo Franchise Could Be Coming In 08

' ]
During an interview with Dean Takahashi of Mercury News, Shigeru Miyamoto gave the impression that there could be a new Nintendo franchise on the horizon. Perhaps even as soon as 2008. He was quoted as saying the following: "Maybe next year sometime, we may have new characters in the same way we came up with Pikmin when we introduced the GameCube." What exactly does this mean? Who knows, but it sounds as if Mr. Miyamoto may have been working on more than just Wii Fit within the fast few months.

Article: Health Club Offers Wii Work Out

' ]
A Canadian health club has added a Wii to their array of work out equipment for members to choose from. Studeo 55 in Vancouver now gives exercisers a new way to burn calories and gain muscle. Owner Nathan Mellalieu has found it to be a great way to keep the experience of getting healthy fun. "We're always trying to break down paradigms and keep things fresh. It's used here to break up the monotony of traditional work outs. All of our clients get great results, but the biggest result we see is the smile on their faces. People have to understand that fun is important."

Mellalie estimates that just one session of boxing, tennis, or bowling on Wii sports can burn anywhere between 75 to 125 calories. No doubt the health club will also be looking into purchasing Wii Fit, Nintendo's new game designed to help keep people in shape when it releases in 2008.

Article: Wii The System Of The Wealthy?

' ]
The results of a recent data-tracking survey reveal that households with Wii systems are more likely to be "upscale" than ones that own other systems. This new finding is courtesy of Nielsen's GamePlay Metrics, a service that gathers information on video game related data from over 12,000 households. While the findings may come as a surprise they also found that most homes that own a Wii also have an annual income of more than $100,000. With such phenomenal popularity it looks as if the Wii has spread across all demographics, even becoming the plaything of the rich.
