Yeah, kind of like x-box, but better.  Nintendo's main problem is lack of online options, which could hurt games like Smash Bros.

no, its confirmed that its going to be like MKDS where you can play random people, or only play people on your friends list.

I personally wont care too much one way or another.  I am a big supporter of same room multiplayer, and Wi-Fi is ok, but it doesn't make or break a game.

Wi-fi doesn't matter to me either. Melee was a huge success, and I was happy with it. But with them delaying Brawl for so long come higher expectations...so I'm not sure what to think at this point.

I barely play my Wii with multiplayer (seeing as the really only multiplayer game I have is Wii Sports), but I've always had fun playing multiplayer in the SSB series.

I could care less if it did/didn't have online play, but if it does, I don't want a half-assed attempt at it. I want something I'll want to use, not something I'll occasionally use.


(To bring something up, I was wondering about having to use the GC controller. If it does require it, then what about the people who never owned a GC? What if they buy the game and have to spend another $20 on a controller just to play it? I really hope they find a way to make the game work with the Wiimote.)

they already announced that the game will not use the wiimote. MY theory is that they will make the game playable with the classic controller AND the gamecube controller, but that seems too unlikely.

What is, is.  As long as the game isn't hindered by using the gamecube controller (or maybe the classic controller) I won't mind at all.

The only people who want the wiimote/nunchuck combo for Brawl are people who dont own a GC or classic controller. seems really selfish if you think about it.

I have gamecube controllers and a classic controller, too.  I was just saying it might be nice of they would include the regular controllers in their plans, that's all...
