square enix (which from this point on ill refer to as squeenix) seems to be disenchanted with sony as of late. sure sure ffXii is coming to ps2 but if youll notice there is a side story of ff Xii coming to the DS. what does that say about the psp? it looks like squeenix wont even bother with the psp and the fact that the ff 7 sides stories for psp STILL arent rock hard dated shows me a lack of confidence. i believe that squeenix may do much more stuff for nintendo soon. enterbrain predicts wii will be overtaken by ps3 but i doubt that defective hardware issues has been taken into account. EVERY SINGLE SONY PRODUCT has had moderate defect margins.  I predict a 3-10% defect margin for ps3 especially after kutaragi himself admits sony manufacturing process is "in decline".  with their laptops catching fire (true story) and ps2's laser alignment problems (seems to be fixed in the slim line version) i can guarantee there will be problems with ps3, possibly enough to disenchant people away from sony. with so many developers seeing how easy it is to develop for the wii it may come down to the 360 and the wii fighting it out if sony cant get out the gate running. anyone else think squeenix is looking a lil disenchanted with sony? and yes im aware ffXiii is in development with ps3 but all theyve shown is cinemas so that means little.

I haven't followed the FF series but from what I know, wasn't Ninty that "pushed" Squeenix to create a good game when they were about to bankrupt? I mean, isn't there a link of appreciation beetween (or whatever this is spelled) Big N and SE?

used to squeenix (then known as square soft) made several games for the super nes and nes. the companies actually knew each other on a personal basis and nintendo and square swapped employees back and forth at times. when the playstation was announced it was an interesting concept especially with the addition of the cd rom drive which allowed for ALOT more space to be used than cartridges for alot cheaper. when nintendo announced they would use cartridges for the n64 square went its on way. it wasnt untill the gamecube that square decided to develop for nintendo again in a contract agreement. now its my belief that squeenix is losing faith in sony especially after all the flak ps3 is taking. if i had to guess how this war will turn out.....by 2008 if sony doesnt budge on its price and it has the defect rate i think it does nintendo wii will be first 360 second and ps3 third. if sony has much better games come out, final fantasy 13 and a lower price it may come out ahead but with hd tvs in less than 25% of all homes people arent really gonna be all about the ps3.
