Sony's end is near, not only because of the PS3 though. Too many mistakes over the past year! (laptop batteries, delays, psp failure, blu-ray not selling enough...)

This has to be the end for sony, they've made so many mistakes in the past years, PS2 failure, PSP's lack of fun games, I have neither of course, I'm Nintendo all the way 8-) and the PS3 has to be THE WORST mistake sony has ever made. I mean, I've heard of the Blu-ray, and I think that graphics don't define a game. Look back to the N64. Remember Goldeneye? some of the worst graphics I've ever seen. BUT the gameplay was amazing, there was an actual big storyline to the game, and there were soooooo many levels. AND there were the secret levels (Aztec and Egyption) that were really hard. I haven't beten either, but my Friend has beten Egyption, an I think he beat Aztec without cheats, but I don't remember (I have a horrible memory) so that is the perfect exaple of why graphics shouldn't madder in a game. Sure we'd like to see some good graphics, but as long as there are no glitches because of graphics, I'm fine with the game if it has good gameplay. Alot of people think you're only cool if you have a PS3, but would you rather be cool for a few weeks, or save $1400 bucks? ($800 for the HD TV that you need, $600 for the PS3) I know my answer. think about it, in a few years (if sony survives) there will be another PS on the market for even more! And your PS3 will be junk. I am buying a Wii because it is the best console on the market. I will be playing my Wii with ALL of my free time. Wait, I'll be on Wii-volution to discuss how great the Wii is. For all you Nintendo fans outside of North America, I feel sorry for you to wait so long. But I'll be buying a Wii within a few weeks and be rubbing it in your country's face of how great it is. JUST KIDDING. I'll have Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz and Wii Sports by the time you get your Wii. If you have any questions about these games, post it up on this topic and I'll answer them.
p.s. Sony sucks
p.s.s. really bad

Anyone who thinks this is the end for sony is wrong, hell, I dislike Sony, I'm very much a Nintendo fanboy and always will be, BUT with the success of the PS2 if only in terms of sales over Gamecube and X-Box is anything to go by, then Sony won't be bowing out of the console 'wars' anytime soon.
Both Microsoft and Sony have more money and bigger budgets than Nintendo, they will pour and pour money into their consoles until people take notice, the PS3 will sell eventually, though it won't be the success Sony would have hoped for, and it will definatly show that Sony aren't invincible and they do make mistakes, which has shown recently.
Nintendo have stated many times that they aren't trying to compete, and the Wii is definatly something different and will benefit the Industry immensly, if the Playstation dies or not, it can only be a bad thing for the Industry in my opinion.

I'd rather not say. The PS3 is going to sell out of the roof on launch day. People are going to be bidding on EBay for over $1,000 on the system alone. The demand for the PS3 is higher than the demand for the Wii, showing a good amount of support for the PS3. Sure, those people won't be getting one until next year because Sony hasn't produced 400,000 units yet, but the system is one of the greatest Sony systems of all time. As long as Sony can either get a lot of units out by this Christmas or a ton by early next year, they should do alright.

People will just buy it because it's Sony, just like people will buy the Wii as it's Nintendo, it's a 'Do Bear's shit in the woods' kinda outcome.
