Well, I've seen quite a few cries for a forum restructuring, so post your suggestions here:

Tell us what you want:
New Forums
Remove Forums
Rename Forums
etc...

Thanks!  :-D

maybe FAQs is needed....a lot of simple questions being asked. I know there are links on the site that answer these simple questions, but it appears as if no one wants to use them and just wants to talk on the forums instead.

I like the extended look of the forums the way they are right now, but I do not like the bandwidth thing that shuts me out from visiting because I am using more than my alloted share. It's not my fault I have high speed and have up multiple forum sections at once!

But about the forum sections themselves, improve the "improvment" section by spelling it right! Improvement for the record! I'm OCD like that. But other than that they are alright, I don't think they need to be so seperated like by games and general and stuff. I'd just have each system have it's own section where you can talk about everything about it and then maybe when we get alot more members and the section is really busy we can split them up again. Just an idea though.

Dezine made a booboo and broke the forums, I had to reinstall it, so the shop and arcade will stay away till I get time to reinstall them.

Maybe a new look to the forum would be nice? Sure, the default theme is good and all, but it is just bland.

I would see a FAQ being a nice addition to help limit duplicated questions asked.
I would be willing to write up the FAQ in about a day.

With that being brought up, a Help/Tutorial section would be a nice addition. So then the FAQ could be a sticky in there. Other than that right now I don't see a need of any change, unless everyone is tired of the "bland" theme.

Maybe transfering a game save to a SD card and use it on another Wii works (which has been said possible, but until I read more people able to do so I'm still skeptical) or something other in the future that can be shared, then I could see the use of a upload section.

I'll just restate what I mentioned in another thread:

Look at the list of forums, and check how many topics and posts each has. The ones that have significantly fewer can probably be combined. This makes for happier forum users and a more tightly knit group feeling. Cozy. Wink

Yes, I like the idea of the save bank, just if it is going to be a part of the forum they would need to code a mod for SMF. Sure, it would be moderatley easy to code for a website, but you need to have the knowledge of coding a SMF mod in order to apply it to the forum without giving errors.

(By the way, there is a website for Wii Saves. Just head here to check it out. I also upload some stuff there too from my Wii...)

two suggestions:

Make the Wii Numbers thread sticky.

Make the link in the banner that leads to the portal page a little more obvious (maybe with a nice button that says "Portal" next to the "Home" button) and have it not open in a new window.  In general there are too many links in the site that are circular that open in new windows - mostly related to news articles.  It gets a bit redundant.

I don't have an exact solution for the latter, but there must be a better way to organize things and remove the redundancy.  Maybe just include more "go back" links instead of always forward looking links.
