I just got my Wii last night (well this morning at midnight) and I bought some Wii points on the shop channel (not a prepaid card).

Well I first downloaded Zelda and then I got Donkey Kong. These games work great with the Wii and barely take up any space. I'll probably get Sonic soon and then I'll be waiting for Mario Kart on the SNES and Mario Kart 64.

So, have you bought any VC games?

I'm looking at getting SimCity since I have such fond memories of that game.  Sadly, Gamestop didn't get my classic controller to me, so I can't play it yet.  Bought some points, haven't downloaded anything.

My store only got 4 classic controllers and I was 13th in line. Thank god no one wanted anything except Red Steel and Zelda!

I don't have a real reason just yet to be spending money on older games, which most on the VC I own, so I'll wait until early 2007 for some VC games for me.

Unless you really like/want the classic controller, you could save a little bit of money by looking at this:

So if you have a gamecube controller you're able to use it for all VC games, which is what I'll be doing.

According to Nintendo's site for VC (http://wii.nintendo.com/virtualconsole.jsp) they haven't posted if Genesis and TurboGrafx will use the GameCube controller. The rest is right for that pic, thats the only thing off.

I haven't bought any VC games yet, but I plan on it. I'm buying original Zelda now and then getting the classic controller for Mario Kart and Mario 64. Might even get the other Mario games. Looking forward to a bigger list of upcoming VC games.

I wavebird will cost me more than a classic controller, since I sold all my GC stuff about a year and a half ago.  I'll wait for my classic controller.

Well Mario Kart isn't out on the VC yet, so you'll only be using it for Super Mario 64 until more games hit the VC.

I'm waiting to see if Maniac Mansion, Chrono Trigger, Shadowrun (both Genesis and SNES), and Earthbound comes out on the VC.

That would be a dream come true! (But then again, I could always download them.)  :evil:
