You're probably right. I mean, the homebrew scene has converters for flash stuff and what not, but history's proven that generally, if it's going to be upgraded at all, it'll be a new system... except for the Expansion thing on 64 and the disc reader and some other stuff. But I'm pretty sure they planned the release of all that from the beginning anyways. *sigh* No 20GB DSes... they would so rape iPods... and PSPs... oh wait, DS already stomps the PSP!

Quite a few SNES games were ported to the GBA anyway, and some games are being ported onto the DS. Perhaps the Wii should only have the VC, and DS owners could stick with straight ports? Ports are the way of the future, after all.

Now that I think of it, though, it would probably be better(and cheaper) to just download the games onto the DS than spending an extra 20 quid or something to go out and buy the same game. With the exception of Final Fantasy III of course.
