Do you think Nintendo will ever make a console that is more powerful than its competitors in the future?

After the Wii, I'm sure the next Nintendo console will be just as powerful if not....at the very least, PS3 power (but then again, Sony said PS3 was going to be a ten year console, not the normal 5 years).

I agree.

The reason I ask is because nothing short of full body motion control could radically change gaming control.  Chances are that Microsoft is going to try to rip off the Wiimote and claim they started it.  (Ps3 already tried that and failed; sixaxis I'm looking at you).  If Nintendo doesn't start in with the console power, they could seriously be hurt in the future.

More than likely they'll use the innovations of the wii and just umprove on the hardware for the next version.  A sort of "Wii 2.0"  Ideally, we'll see a much better network infrastructure and actual HD gaming, with all the strangths of the wii.  By then, those features will be just as affordable as the wii is now.

True, but wouldn't the PS4 and the successor to the 360 be even more powerful than their predecessors? Well, there would very little to improve on, besides the 360's Red Ring of Death and the PS3's lack of good games, but I can't see many other upgrades. The only major upgrade I could see it to dump the discs for games and somehow work it like a PC game with the game being installed on a hard drive.

The only problem is that you might need a massive hard drive for the games, but most games are only 1-2 Gigs at max. So a good hard drive for it would need to be around 200, give or take some gigabytes.

/\ it really depends though because if a lot ppl HDTVs then nintendo is going to make it like a xbox360 like 780P not the full 1080P

Here's a new idea.  Maybe Nintendo will be the first to combine a computer with a game console.  Sure it would be very difficult, and there would be a lot of problems to work out, but I can see something like that happening in the future (maybe).

I know either sony or microsoft is going to steal what nintendo created, and its gonna really piss me off when they do. They cant come up with anything of their own. PS3 a ten year system? I heard the ps4 was coming out in 2010 or 2011...either way itll be lame

I can think of a lot of things to do to the Wii to make it perfect.

1. Highest definition graphics
2. Massive HDD (500 Gigabytes or something)
3. Always feel like you are connected to the Internet
4. Better Motion control and highly accurate voice recognition
5. Wireless everything
6. Download Movies and Demos
7. Download entire games so you would never have buy them at the store again
8. Lightning fast applications (i.e. E-mail, web surfing, live radar weather, live streaming news videos)
9. Awesome online play or functions in every game
10. 3 or more password protected files in every game (I have two brothers)
11. Very short load times for all applications and games

Yeah, that is my dream console that is not completely un-make-able. 8-)

Not according to the lawsuit. But once Nintendo senses that enough people have HDTV(s) they'll make a move so big Sony would diminish IMO.Motion sensing body-suits would be awesome!

I don' know if going to full body control would be a great idea for Nintendo.  They should perfect the Wiimote and make their next console more powerful than whatever Sony and Microsoft come out with next and they will do pretty well.
