They realize that someone else had a better idea than them, so they thought "hey! Lets make a blatant rip off! Since the other product is popular, ours will be too!"  I can just imagine the board meeting where Microsoft came up with this one...

Microsoft came out with the first motion controller. Before Nintendo and Sony. If anything, Nintendo ripped off Microsoft...

And if you really want...Atari beat all of them. However, the controller supposedly was horrible and I imagine it was too expensive for most people to even bother thinking about.

So as you can see, the idea has been around for a long time. So quit the bitching.

What I hate about your video is that its titled, "proof that the PS3 controller is not new."

Motion sensing isn't a new concept. Its been there before. But it hasn't been affordable and interest was lacking. Thats whats great about the Wii. It was a complete gamble. Even Miyamoto admits he was surprised by how much Americans are gobbling up the Wii. On top the gamble, it truely is a gameplay revolution. Only problem is now is that developers don't make games specified towards a controller. Obviously that is a problem for the Wii. So lets hope developers open their eyes a little wider, look at what they can do, and lets hope we get a truely unique game to the Wii that couldn't work on any other consoles because its just that unique and that great to play on the Wii.
