I'm still kinda debating about buying a DS lite because while looking on the web for games I saw that most of the games cost alot. I mean $30.00 for 2D games c'mon.  :em-32:  :em-16:

Not all DS games are 2D. Metroid, Star Fox, Final Fantasy, Star Wars: Lethal Alliance are all 3D (just to name a few) and a lot of the 2D games are worth more than $30.  It's better than what you'll get for $40 on a PSP.

Take a game like New Super Mario Bros. While not being completely 2D (The graphics have 3D to them.), the game is still a side-scrolling game, but a near perfect one at that.

I'd pay even $40 for that game if I had to. It's just that great of a game. As Snipes said, some of the major titles for the DS aren't 2D. Metroid, Star Fox, Wild World, Nintendogs, Trauma Center, and tons more are all great 3D games for the DS. In fact, I'm pretty much guessing that most of the DS games that are good are 3D, while sprinkled with a good amount of 2D games.

Are you talking about the DS, because the only Final Fantasy out for it is Final Fantasy 3 (Final Fantasy 12 and Final Fantasy: Ring of Fates are coming soon.)

You could always try your luck, i found this competition a while back, i've entered it is quite simple. Never know you may just win. I think a new DS Lite is a welcome addition to anyone's collection!

Anyway give it a go: http://www.powerof5.co.uk/quest/entryform.php

Good luck!!

If you have the money go for it, I've had a DS lite for months and love. I had a ds phat for awhile and the lite is a bit better. There are a lot of good games out depending on what you like. Technology is a bad investment no matter what, everything is always getting better. So, if you want one get one, if you want to put your money in something that won't be beat out the next day by higher tech.. buy a cat or something to entertain yourself.

Final Fantasy IV was redone onto the GBA, but as you all hopefully know, you can play that on the DS (Final Fantasy III being redone for the DS). The new pokemon (Diamond and Pearl) is 2D, however you have a 3D effect to the game. I'll testify that comparing Pearl to the old Pokemons, you can tell a huge improvement on the graphics even though it's still 2D. By the end of the year there will be some more good games coming out, if you still haven't gotten excited about previously released titles, so if you're some what wanting to invest in a DS, I would just go out and buy one now.
