Title: Were getting a interview with Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 Developers Post by: meridianblade on June 21, 2007, 04:29:30 PM Here's the email we received from Atari and Spike:
"I'm contacting you today on behalf of Atari and Spike. They would like to offer you the opportunity to conduct an interview with the developers of Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3. If you are interested in participating, please e-mail me a list of questions about the game that you think your fans would be most interested in having answered and we'll send them over to the folks at Atari and Spike for their responses. No one has actually done an interview on Budokai Tenkaichi 3 yet, so Wii-Volution will have the honor of conducting the very first interview for the game if you choose to accept. Let us know if this sounds like something you want to be a part of; we'll need your questions soon because it may take a while to get them answered due to translation issues." Let's see some questions! Title: Re: Were getting a interview with Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 Developers Post by: MysticGohan on June 21, 2007, 05:25:08 PM wow, we get new stuff every day. some questions....

What major differences are there between Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 2 and Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3? Is it true that there will be three completely new characters never seen before? If so, would you mind sharing any with us? Thank you in advance, Dbzmaster28! Title: Re: Were getting a interview with Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 Developers Post by: Weatherby on June 22, 2007, 03:47:42 PM 1) Will the characters have more than 2 b1's, 2 b2's, and 1 UB?
2) Will the Great Apes have more attack variation between them(they all pretty much had the same mouth blast attacks in the last game)? 3) Will the giant characters(Great Apes, Hildegarn, Janempa, etc.) be faster and have more combo's than the last game? 4) Will the customization be greatly improved on, as in having all stats going up to 50 or 100 instead of 20(or maybe a new level up system all together)? 5) Will Goku have different levels of Kaioken such as x1, x4, x10, x20? 6) Will the AI's 10 different settings be a tough enough challenge once the game is mastered(Budokai 3 had a Z3 mode which was very challenging)? 7) Will the annoying cutscenes before a blast is launched or a rush is started be removed(all attacks besides rushes would be better in real-time)? 8) Vegeta's Final Flash, along with other attacks, were WAY too small in BT2, will attacks be bigger and more true to the show? 9) Will transformations play a bigger role in battling? 10) Will Piccolo be able to fuse with Nail, and Kami if he is added, so that he has more than one form? Title: Re: Were getting a interview with Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 Developers Post by: Trunks on June 22, 2007, 04:02:39 PM Hello i'm a french fan of all the Dragon Ball Sparking so sorry for my spelling mistakes :-)

1-will the cut scenes be like budokai one Title: Re: Were getting a interview with Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 Developers Post by: Pete Beast on June 22, 2007, 09:49:06 PM Hi, well this is awsome:
1) Will you finally add all the CBGT characters? (all the dragons?) 2) Will the environment be more destructable? As in crashing to the floor makes a hole, instead of bouncing. 3) Will you include more fighting scenes instead of alot of talking :em-30: 4) Will you remove any characters from Tenkaichi 2? (please don't :d) 5) Will you improve the graphics in any way? (they currently look amazing, but when picking a fighter, like Broly, you notice his fingers are squares). 6) Will strong attacks that hit the ground destroy the Earth entirely instead of a big explosion, and perhaps enjoy of a fierce space battle? (depends on the characters of choice I guess). 7) Will there be different kinds of explosions of the Earth? Seeing the same one over and over gets a bit anoying :(. 8) Please, add a RETRY option at the start menu during Adventure Mode! 9) Will strong transformations shake up the Earth, and actually get into the deep feeling, like in the anime? (SSJ3 Goku, for example). 10) Will there be Online Play? ^^ That's all I can think of for now, some are questions some are prettymuch suggestions, I hope you read them :). P.S. Don't ad characters that we don't see in the Manga or the Anime... It will just destroy the series, and I'm serious about this. - Pete Beast, hardcore DBZ fan. Title: Re: Were getting a interview with Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 Developers Post by: BigBoi on June 23, 2007, 09:10:03 AM 1- will the 6 others evil dragons be on the game
2- will teen Gonten, Gt trunks, GT kid Goku, Gt Vegeta, general rilldo, and Baby be in his regular form be on the game 3- will the cut scenes look better, like the ones in Budokai one 4- will you be able to battle online Title: Re: Were getting a interview with Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 Developers Post by: yucif on June 23, 2007, 07:40:21 PM what improvments have been made to the fightng system?
Iwould like to dodge and punch kick at the same time, and make the power ups look real like the animated series, that would make the game great. :em-17: Title: Re: Were getting a interview with Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 Developers Post by: yucif on June 23, 2007, 08:28:59 PM Has any changes been made to the level up system?
In tenkaichi 2 the highest power level per each character was lvl 160, In tenkaichi 3 the lvl of each character should go upto hundreds, thousands, Millions, depends on the character. EXAMPLE KidGoku (dragonball) power lvl 265 EXAMPLE Dodoria power lvl 22,000 EXAMPLE, Spopovitch power lvl 10,000,000 EXAMPLE, Goku ssj 3 power lvl 450,000,000 It feels so bad when everybody has the same lvl and the highest lvl is lvl 160, So every character should have different levels. Title: Re: Were getting a interview with Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 Developers Post by: Smaz on June 29, 2007, 09:34:48 AM Yeah, I guess, but I think their system with the levelling is okay as it is right now, since they kept the balance well, as well as having stronger characters naturally have more health and attack power.
The most urged questions are: * Can we create our own character (you don't believe how many people want this in... sort of like Soul Calibur 3's system and a point system to what attacks to have, would work very well)? * Is online battling available (it would be fun to fight others over the net)? * Also, are many more GT and original Dragon Ball characters going in (I really want to play as General Rilldo and Assistant Black in the robot, in particular)? It seems Z is very much focused on, but Dragon Ball lacked a bit... even no story mode. Thanks much! I always thought Super Saiyan Goku's ultimate should change if say, he charges up a Spirit Bomb in his base form, then transforms. Imagine that - the next time you'd use your ultimate, you would INSTEAD absorb the Spirit Bomb like in the Super Android #13 movie, unleashing a devastating attack. Title: Re: Were getting a interview with Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 Developers Post by: Hodges on July 02, 2007, 06:08:31 PM I got a few questions:
1)Aside from more playable characters, what will set this game apart from the previous TBs? 2)If not already in this game, would fully customizable characters ever be available? 3)Are there "what if" stories and transformations in this game? 4)Will power levels play a bigger part in this game? 5)Will power levels be apparent in this game? (EX: Charging up really tears up the ground around you) (EX: Shooting a blast on the ground tears up the ground as it travels) 6)Will there be more personalized attacks for each character instead of a few carbon copies? (EX:Salza and The girl from the Bojack movie)(Sorry I forgot her name) 7)Will the story line start from point A (dragonball) and end at point B (GT)? 8)Do you ever forsee a more violent, realistic version of a DBZ game, such things such as blood, broken bones, and all that injury stuff? 9)Will the players be more customizable? (EX:Appearances and power levels) 10)Will the characters "grow" in the game?(Slowly learn there attacks instead of just being blocked from use) 11)Is it getting hard to make DBZ games with fans desiring more and more from each release? Title: Re: Were getting a interview with Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 Developers Post by: SSMATT13 on July 02, 2007, 08:26:40 PM Ok, some questions-
1)Are the transformations different? 2)How many NEW Dragonball GT characters are there? 3)Is Kid Goku of Dragonball GT included?
