Two very different games, but despite my love for Metroid I would say go with New Super Mario Bros. It could be the best game on the system. It's the same awesome Mario type game from the classics but with better graphics and new items. Metroid Prime Hunters is a game that most people should get as it's the best shooting game on the system but only if you are a hardcore FPS or Metroid fan would I get it over NSMB.

I have the old fat DS :lol:

the DS is amazing, when it first came out and I saw someone with it I thought...
what the **** were Nintendo thinking!!! Since I bought a DS a few years ago, I have like 10 games.

My favorites are...
Animal Crossing: Wild World (I have made over 6,000,000 bells ever and I got it just about 18 months ago)
Mario Kart DS
Kirby: Canvas Curse (I beat it but there is a great replay value to it)
Star Fox: Command (I can't beat one of the early levels so I play Wi-Fi)

these games are not in order of my favorites. None of my DS games have made it into my Top 5 favorite games of all time. Just the N64 and the Cube. I'm sure Super Mario Galaxy will make it into my Top 5, maybe 4th if it's really good. Another Wii game might make it. I bet if any it will be Super Smash Bros. Brawl

I have a Hot Rod Red DS. I'm currently playing Animal Crossing: Wild World (got it since December) and Brain Age. I want to buy WarioWare: Touched!, Cooking Mama and/or Yoshi's Island DS this Christmas.

I love New Super Mario Bros, Mario Kart, and Animal Crossing. I have a bunch of other games but I like those the most.

me too, I have the old fat DS. As for games, I would say New Super Mario Bros. is a pretty good game for the system, but I don't have it. I have metroid Prime hunters though, and it's good too. Mario Kart and Animal Crossing are my favorites, especially it's really fun during online play. there the most selling too, so they have been getting a lot more players playing it online.

Yup, I have a white Onyx DS Lite--I love the thing. Stylish, compact and it can take a beating. Never before has a handheld uhm...held my interest as much as the DS has. It pretty much has every genre covered thoroughly as well. (Except sports, but I'm not a huge fan of sports other than golf/mario sports.) I must admit though, to owning, and liking Madden 2007 DS

Soo much has come out for the DS in the last year that I've bought, or am planning to buy:
-Starfox Command
-Magical Starsign
-Resident Evil Deadly Silence
-Final Fantasy 3
-Children Of Mana
-True Swing Golf
-Megaman ZX
-Rocket SLime
...alot more too.

Not only that, but it has a great 2007 lineup as well. With stuff like:
-Diddy Kong Racing
-Proffessor Layton
-Hotel Dusk
-Final Fantasy XII Reverant Wings
-Phoenix Wright 4 (and 2, right?)
-Pokemon Pearl/Diamond
...and more here too.

It's weird, I've never really liked handhelds until the DS.

I have Nintendogs, Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time and Animal Crossing: Wild World.

My sister is killing the battery playing Nintendogs. It is a smart game, I spent 1-2 hours with it but that was it!

I quit playing Mario & Luigi because the last boss is so hard for my unexperienced heros and because they treat to Luigi like he is an unable-to-do-the-easiest-thing guy! (I mean, c'mon, what would Mario be if there was no Luigi? Bowser would eat him with a move!)

I bought AC: WW yesterday and I cannot wait to become and ADSL boy and play with other people!

Next buy is Mario Kart DS...

Sorry to say but I'm not happy with my DS. I bought it on the release with mario 64 and I almost spent al my pocket money and stuff on my DS but I never find any fun games. I've only got 4 games:

-Mario 64 (fun but not original)
-Mariokart (Fun but way too short and with short I mean 2-3 days 2 hours a day)
-Resident Evil ( Fun but no original + the ending boss is too hard to beat. I still haven't beaten him)
-Metroid Prime Hunters (The game with the nicest graphics and the coolest gameplay where I waited s long for to have it but it turns out to be too short)

For the rest there are stupid puzzle games that use the touchscreen, more games copied from earlier editions on old consoles, RPG's that have the graphics of the GBA and that make no use of the touch-screen and some crappy Japanese games with weard gameplay. The week before I bought DS I dreamed of having it with some innovating cool games and stuff but dreams aren't reallity but on the other hand if I hadn't bought a DS I would have bought a PSP and I would regret that too. If I didn't had to buy a DS I now would have the money to buy a Wii :-D but my parents don't let me buy it so it would be useless money. But than I could now woop my ass with euros :-D

This topic is about what you think about DS so here's my opinion. You may like it. It's not forbidden to share your opinion about stuff. But the new Pokémon and the new Zelda and the new Dragon Quest is coming to the DS so maybe my opinion is going to change :-D
