If you did purchase a game through the Virtual Console, you always own it and if your console does break and you get a new one, you can just log in and download it again. Also, I had heard, I think from Shigeru but don't quote me on the person, that they will be selling smaller Wii games that show off the controller (similiar to WiiPlay) in Japan.
