Title: concerns with Nunchuck-WiiMote connection Post by: kboyts on November 03, 2006, 03:38:43 PM Anyone else worried that with all of the movement and flailing the controllers around that the connection where the two plug together will end up being a weak point? I have read that they do connect together securely but I am concerned about the plug getting loose after time with stress put on it.
Title: Re: concerns with Nunchuck-WiiMote connection Post by: starlitalpha on November 03, 2006, 03:56:42 PM theres two little clip like things that lock on to the botton of the wii-mote so theres really no danger, though that was just a preliminary remotew, not to mention youll never really pull the pieces taut since theres no reason to and theyre long enough.

Title: Re: concerns with Nunchuck-WiiMote connection Post by: Vander on November 03, 2006, 05:49:42 PM what I'm worried about with the motion sensing is that I don't get too into the game and accedintly hitting my friends or my brother with the Wii-mote or Nunchuck controller
Title: Re: concerns with Nunchuck-WiiMote connection Post by: kboyts on November 03, 2006, 05:55:53 PM even without pulling the cord tight, there will still be stress on the connection simply from the cord being moved in ciircles or flapping around depending on how animated the game requires you to be.

The worst video I saw was with Zelda and the fishing game, having you use the Wiimote to reel in the line, but if you're an idiot and try to do it really quick (which isn't how you fish in the first place) I'm sure theres a chance of the connectivity screwing up over time.
Just keep to how the game is suppose to be played, and don't decide the Wiimote+Nuchuc can be used as a rope to climb up a 2nd story building. You never worried about whipping a controller across a room after dieing an endless amount of times because you couldn't make a jump....a controller wasn't made for being thrown, but you did it anyways.
The Wii controller will be fine. The wire will be strong. I'm sure Nintendo made sure of that. And you won't worry about it disconnecting or anything like that. It's reported to be a good length. Also, keep in mind that developer's are even thinking about this as well, such as Madden...throwing the ball doesn't need to be an emulation of throwing a ball, it can be a simple wrist shake. It has the same sort of lockins on the side, just much stronger.

My brother used to throw the N64 controller against the wall years ago Title: Re: concerns with Nunchuck-WiiMote connection Post by: blizzy1000 on November 07, 2006, 04:39:39 PM Yeah, the Wii mote and the nun chuck should have a strong connection, Nintendo has never let me down before!

2. Pull out the box numbered 1. 3. Check out the Wii-mote (since I refuse to go to a demo station). 4. Check out the Nunchuk. (You get the idea) 5. Hold my Wal-Mart bags containing over $530 worth of stuff inside of them close to me. 6. Go inside my house. 7. Hook it up as fast as possible. 8. Check out the channels, etc. 9. Come on here and post my Wii Number. 10. Play Wii Sports with my friend, brother, and his girlfriend. 11. Play Super Monkey Ball. 12. Play Red Steel 13. Play Zelda 14. Fall asleep. (I forgot to insert "Drink a Monster" at every other step.) Title: Re: concerns with Nunchuck-WiiMote connection Post by: kboyts on November 12, 2006, 07:50:02 PM 1.
