I only watched the spaceship one....got to say it looks like the dumbest minigame ever, but with the wiimote it might actually be fun because of all the tilting you have to do in order to steer your ramp to bounce the balls in the proper colored slots. Hope Nintendo doesn't whore out the Mario Party on the Wii like they did on the GC.

I'm thinking if Nintendo can hold this title back until later next year (or more) and add more & better boards, a lot more characters, tons of ORIGINAL minigames (not based on ones from the GC), tons more multiplayer games, and just a better shaped game overall.

Sure it would be hard to add a ton of minigames that aren't alike to each other, but I'm sure Nintendo of all developers could pull it off.

i never played any of these game but what ever wouldn't it be cool if if they put wii online on this game?

Mario Party games are really fun.  I have all of them but Mario Party 4 because i didn't have a GC when it was released. But I'm getting a Wii on launch date. I'll be at the store at 3:00 a.m. to get a Wii. then when I get it I run as fast as I can to my car and drive home. Then I'm getting the rest of my stuff later. So what are all of you getting with the Wii? Also I hope that MP8 has online gaming.

I think even with similar minigames that were on the GC Mario Parties, them being placed on the Wii will make them alot better. So all Nintendo has to do is 'upgrade' the mini's a little more, and we will have ourselves some awesome Wiimote minigames, just like WarioWare.

I'm not as excited about this game as I was about the other games. It seems as though the games are kinda "rushed" now....didn't mario party 7 just come out? Anyway I think the franchise with only last to mario party 10, after that, It would just be waaaay too long to keep one game going till around the 20th sequel, lol...

I think that this game is probably going to be pretty good with the Wii. It might be kinda like Wario Ware except a little different.

They have a NOW 28 CD coming out to stores, so why can't Nintendo make MP28?

After the 3 on the N64 I gave up hope on Mario Party, but it might actually have a chance with the Wii's new control scheme.

NO WAY!!! They always release a MP game in November. I might have alot of games to buy in Spring 2007.

Most gaming producers don't release games during spring (just because they don't sell that well, Christmas is the best time). In fact, its usually a dry well for gaming during spring and summer, besides the sun is out...get outside. But when you do get Mario Party 8, let me know how it is. I'll probably just wait till Mario Party 16 is out for the Wii and get that....::sigh:: I really hope Nintendo doesn't keep bastardizing the Mario franchise on the Wii like it did on the Gamecube. Mario Party is a great game, I'll give it that....but do you really need 7 different games of it on one console?

no, but lots on MP fans wanted a new game when they get that they want another you see why nintendo dose this....demand......high demand

If that date is correct (which I am still unsure about unless you have a Japanese release date too), then I am very happy. I love the Mario Party games a ton, and this one looks even better.

I'm happy about the MP8 launch date too. But It's kinda wierd when it's coming out.

I'm not too disappointed with it's release date- it's actually sooner than I expected :-P

i'm suprised by how many people like mario party games. I know people that rent them to play for a bit but I don't know anyone that's ever bought one. If they're coming out with another it seems as though they sell well.

I like marioparty 4 since my cousins own it. They dont like it but i can't wait for this game!

Although I would love to see MP8 online, the chances of Nintendo implementing an online mode to MP in less than a month from release isn't likely. I'm sure Nintendo would have said something if it were online.

I heard Mario Party 8 was being released March 5th, however I just went onto EBgames and it now says it will be released June 1st....as well as Fire Emblem, Blitz the League, Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, Project Hammer, Sadness, SD Gundam Breaker, and Super Smash Brothers Brawl. Thats nine games being released on one day, many of which were suppose to be out on the launch day of the Wii. The wait for them sucks, and pushing these games back means there is going to be a void of games for the Wii...but you can't help but wonder that if these games have been pushed back how many times, and 9 games on one day...that can only spell one thing: online play. Or at least....you would think.

What the hell Nintendo? Launch would've been perfect if the online play was available off the bat...and not to mention, you did promise to shortage of games. But now, because online wasn't available, everyone is pushing their games back so that there will be online and now....wii owners will have nothing to play besides Wii Sports and maybe one other game.

Meh, not much one can do. Im willin to wait though if i get mario party online!

yeah. well, i hope they encorporate online play, cause that'd be so awesome! I have a Nintendo Power magazine, but i dont think they tell you the release date. which is wierd, cause it says it's the March issue. oh wait....nevermind, they say it comes out in march.

I still think it's going to be released on the 5th. I'm just waiting until my local stores say it isn't there when I go to see it on the 5th (Well 6th because they don't stock until Tuesday).

The thing that bugs me terribly is Nintendo's online strategy. It's just way too simple. Even with online play, the people your playing with feel like... computers. Really, there's nothing there that makes them feel any different than a computer. The Wii needs a chatting system in-game (not text, but a microphone chatting system) to make the game feel online. See, this is the reason why I'm not buying anything Nintendo until after I purchase my 360 in June, mainly for Live. I'd rather spend about $600 for a 360 premium, 12 Months of Live Gold, a wireless headset, and a game than buy some crappy game with terrible online play any day.

I reserved Mario party 8 at EBgames and they will have it on March 6th.

Well if they still plan to release it on the 5th, which is this coming Monday, I think we might of heard more about it. Their would probably already be reviews from some sites.
