The Wii60 idea is pretty good, you get fun and innovation coupled with online games and grahics for the price of a PS3. A lot of people seem to be going down the Wii60 path. As long as they buy a Nintendo I don't care.

Sony will definetly kick itself in the mouth with ps3. I'm tired of their "we control everything because our machine is more potent" attitude, there is obviously no comparisson, machine-wise, between ps3 and wii. But as a adult gamer, I couldn't care less about graphics. Give me interaction!!!!

no, it isn't. and, if Sony was Satan, then why would they make 2 hit-selling Disney games? Disney does not in any way cooperate with Satan, Disney cooperates with God!

well for one thing the ps3 is going to be way better then the 360.....i mean once they get a game out that uses the ps3 too its fullist you will see why it cost so much...... i bet that the ps3 is better then anyone of your computers...

Personally I've always referred Nintendo software and products. The only reason I see to buy sony products is because for some stupid reason Square-Enix started supporting them with the Final Fantasy series and stopped supporting Nintendo. (If anyone knows why that happened could they please explain it? Was it a business move or some kind of falling out between Nintendo and Square Soft at the time?)

But as far as I'm concerned, Nintendo has always come out with the better systems, and I've always been a Nintendo fan. Mostly because they're multiplayer abilities are always better in my opinion. I mean, the ps1/ps2 only had two controller slots.

I won't even talk about Microsoft crap.

true, but they are sold seperately. that's more than a little inconvienient.

yes, but the 4 controllers are for different things. gamecube is for GAMECUBE, wiimote for WII, classic for CLASSIC, and whatever else for whatever else.

there is a dang adapter that lets you use ps2 controller for gamecube pretty weirds  :|

yea my friend has one of those. i thought it a bit odd considering he had no PS2. and his only playstation controller doesnt have analog.

i have no PS2, and those controllers have no analog sticks....

what controllers? ps2 controllers do, and some later playstation ones do. i know, ive seen them.

I'd say sony was doing better until this newest system. Don't get me wrong I do love some nintendo system games (ie zelda) but most of them are too child aimed for my tastes. I'd rather not go broke getting a new system though so....

dont take me wrong, but all this is just an opinion. go to PS3 websites, you will definetely get a different opinion. same for Xbox360

Alright, I'm going to add my two cents here.

First off.  stonerocker, the reason for Square-Enix (then Squaresoft) leaving Nintendo was solely because of the release of the Nintendo 64.  Square was getting tired of making games on cartridges, and they wanted to go onto a more flexible format.  Square was hoping that Nintendo releases the N64 Disk Drive, but once that fell through, Square split with Nintendo, and went to Sony, because its Playstation was on a CD format, and it provided more to Squares take on flexibility.  Oh, and did you know that it was Nintendo's fault for the Playstation's creation?  It's a long story...

Anyways, regarding the Wii and the PS3.  In my opinion, the difference between the two is largely the third-party support and the fanbase.

For the PS3, most of the greater game franchises are on it.  For the Wii, you have the "naturals" (which is not a bad thing at all).  When it comes down to it, though, the Wii is made for party games, where the PS3 is more likely "alone time".  Wii has the games that you want to play along with all of your friends, and have a kick-ass time.  The PS3 (when it happens) will be more of an RPG/Action/Adventure system, with the occasional sports games. 

From my experience with the PS2 and the Gamecube, I used the PS2 only for RPG games (seeing how I am a major Square-Enix buff).  But, whenever my friends came over to hang, we plugged in the Gamecube, and played multiplayer games the whole night, such as SSBM and Mario Party.

Also, Square-Enix is still making games for Nintendo, like Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles and Final Fantasy games for the handhelds, and you have the new Crystal Chronicles being made on the Wii. 

Hopefully, Square-Enix has a heart and they start making good quality games on the Wii.

But, yeah, With the Wii and PS3, it's just about personal preference.  Then again, the PS3 Kind of sucks now because of overheating and faulty hardware (a greater ratio compared to the Wii).

SNES
N64
Ps2/gcn(ton of good games for both, xbox only had halo series,kotor series and ninja gaiden black

xbox360/wii(360 has best graphics and teen games i've seen since the n64, and wii biggest innovation to gaming since analog stick

360 has best graphics since the N64? SINCE THE N64?!? man, you are outdated!! PS2 Xbox and Gamecube graphics have exceeded N64 graphics, not to mention the DS and PSP! (handhelds, incase you didnt know) :-o

people who think that those are the only good games for xbox are people who have never PLAYED an xbox.
the xbox has a bunch of games that it shares with the ps2 true, but it plays them BETTER.

At least play Medal of Honor or battlefront! I just came back from a 10-hour Xbox party by the way. 2 Xboxs, 6 controllers, 1 system link cord and 8 players. but we only played Halo, Halo 2, European Assault, Madden and Battlefront 2

I've never had an X-Box, I wasn't a fan, but I admit it had some sweet games on it, and it ran things really well.

But the gamecube was the best multiplayer system between X-Box, Gamecube, and PS2 in my opinion.

nah, xbox was better multiplayer, it had online play and unlimited connection possibilities. ive never had one, but i go to Xbox fests!

I didn't make myself clear. I liked the Gamecube multiplayer GAMES better. The internet thing I give to X-Box. And Halo. Which alone was worth quite a bit..

I just thought nintendo had more.

mulitplayer gamecube wasnt all that good, not enough shooters. but shooting games is just all about the multiplayer games Xbox has, not that it matters.

Uh, I'm really sorry, but as much as I love the wii, these were crappy, unconvincing videos. All they did was help convince me that sony knew what it was doing when it came out with the ps3, or help me become more aware of what the creator's tastes and preferences are.

nintendo makes features to make gameplay (touch screen, motion sensor) but many good games kinda don't need them.... :-(

sony tried to make the gameplay different with the eyetoy but that clearly didn't work very well. Seems that nintendo is still the leader in that field, whether it's needed or not.

kinda like phones need cameras, but dont.

the camera is kinda handy same with the video like you'll never forget you cellphone anywhere but you can for get you camera, you get my point

the psp doesnt play dvds, it has its own disc, so you have to re-purchase your movie collection.

Yah! We all must support the Wii! I you don't,then you shouldn't be on this wii-supporting site. But if you support the wii and somewhat like the ps3 then thats fine. Though not the greatest. Go Wii!!!!

Graphics aren't everything. However, the power the PS3 has doesn't mean that it goes all to graphics. Some go to smarter AI and things like that. Thats why I wish the Wii would have more horsepower to run with, so that when you play games like Red Steel - the bad guy doesn't stand in front of you turning a complete 360 and shooting once in a while at the wall, while your crouched at his feet meleeing him in the knees. That is what 360 and PS3 has over the Wii, the power of their chip allows, yes, better graphics but more importantly better AI (amongst other things). Play Gears of War on the 360 and then Red Steel on Wii, you'll understand what I'm saying.

yes, good graphics dont add to the experience, but smarter enemies do.
