Plus, Nintendo has also sold over 454,000 copies of Zelda: Twilight Princess. This goes to show how hot the Wii really is. You know how they always get the "small" $20K bags with gifts. I remember the PS3 launch party, each person got 3 PS3's in their bag or something like that.

Plus plenty get handed out for free to celebs as posted above. Then you have the ones that Nintendo has to keep to replace bad Wii's. This number gets counted in the total systems made and shipped to the US, even if not all go on "sale".

Its listed as a 'gift' for selling/promoting the system. I mean its a lot of free systems that Nintendo loses money on, but the advertising and promotion is great. A lot of people don't know much about the Wii, this gives them a chance to play it and see it in action. So, it helps sell more...
