Wii-volution

Now, does anyone know what it does exactly?

From what I can gather off of the web, people are saying that it is adding parental controls.

But then others are saying that they thought that parental controls were already on the system.  :?

My Wii already has some Parental Controls. Mine isn't online right now, so I don't know about the update.

i have to wait till january to get dang adapter  :-( :cry:

So far, if I remember, all the updates stated the same thing about parental controls after updating. This update was probably some kind of bug fix, etc.

Read the update when you run it, it says it was for parental controls :-)

How are you suppose to know if there is an update or not :?

I guess I'll hook mine back up tomorrow. Right now I'm sharing a lan adapter with my TiVo until I go wireless in January.

dang why does mine not work!!!! i tried it on the computer it works but my wii wont pick it up!

I have no clue man. I don't know details on what the Wii supports. I believe most adapters are pretty much the same. They convert ethernet to usb. I just know mine works.

I would say you probably need to change some settings in the router, Possibly security settings or other things. I would call the manufacturer of your router for help.

Are you using a password encryption on the router? When I set my Wii up at first I typed in the wrong password, the Wii doesnt tell you that you have the wrong password, its just fails the connection test.
