Wii-volution

I'm gonna get a Wii as soon as it becomes easily available. anyone wanna through out any guesses as to when that might be?

i thought so too, but those are gonna go fast. plus, im seeling something on ebay to get the cash, so im gonna have to wait at least 7 days

Shipments have been coming about once a week around Sundays try again next weekend and see what happens.  No need to camp or anything just go early and see what you can do.

and while your there, go buy me a Wii, would ya? you can send it with the bill in the package :wink:

i wish i had that much money. like i said, i gotta sell my xbox on ebay just to afford one.

I've heard rumors that Best Buys release their built-up Wii stock every Sunday. Your guess is as good as mine as to how fast those will sell out. Other than that, I would simply recommend figuring out which are the least busy stores which carry the wii, and check there every day once you have the cash to buy one. I did that (a Wal-Mart at a REALLY dead mall), and was able to walk in and pick one up (they had just recieved their trucks a couple hours beforehand). Common sense (so you probably realize this): the busier the store, the quicker they will run out.

yea, i have two game boutiques (gamestop and game crazy) right near me, and im hoping i can be lucky enough to get them there. i really dont like buying my game stuff from big stores. i like the specialized service u get in game shops.

small stores... avoid best buy. maybe circuit city? gamestop no question. thanks for the advice! now I just need a ride there.....

whoa, slow down. i was talkin personal preferance and convienience. i dont doubt that large stores like best buy will have vastly larger shipments. its really all up to you.

I just went to my Best Buy 2 hours before store open and I got mine :-D So did everyone else who went.


There's this Best Buy like an hour from my house that I heard that they still have a few Wiis in stock. DON'T ask where it is because I don't know.

given the amount of wiis nintendos producing im sure that by january there will be surplus in the stores and you can just walk in and pick one up. im probably not gonna wait that long, but im just sayin that if ure patient it could be a lot easier.  :-D

well you should be able to go just pick 1 up @ your local store.

I'm hoping to find a Wii before Christmas, I doubt I will though. The day the Wii came out I was under the impression that I would just be able to walk into a store, and just pick one up. (I was wrong...) I drove around for a few hours looking, but to no avail.  :roll:

I did get a call from mylocalWal*Mart. (Well, ONE of the local ones...) They said they'd be getting a new shipment of them in sometime early this week. Hopefully, I'll be able to pick one up then...If not, my coppies of Trauma Center and Zelda will remain unplayed. :cry:

i cant walk, because the nearest store is 10 miles away, and my parents are just against me getting a Wii. I keep trying to reason with them, but they make an excuse, or just say NO for no reason at all.

i know that. my mom hates me playing video games and she wants me to get a life. i do not know what this "life" is that she speaks of, but if tears me away from my precious, then i have no need of one.

and if she tears you away from it, tell her that she can unload that monstrious thing onto me, and i'll take care of it until you move out....

oh, let me clarify this. i already have a 360, and i havent played an original xbox game in over 6 months. so i figured, "y have a system that i never use?". and then i thought, "DUH".

and to clarify further, the 360 is awesome, but i want a wii because the two platforms deliver two COMPLETELY seperate gaming experiences. that and zelda.

i realize this, and it makes me sad that they do, seeing as they are great games on a bad platform.

Wednesday DEC. 6th 8:00 am EST @ Walmart.

2 problems with that- Wiis only ship on Sundays (due to launch date) and Most people happen to be in school at 8AM :cry:

apparantly it was just a something wal mart did to boost sales and all that other marketing jusnk. all the other stores are keeping to the normal sunday schedule... i think
