Title: Phoenix Wright
Post by: Puff Daddy on December 03, 2006, 01:18:00 PM
In the game, you are an attorney doing what attorney's do. Cross-examining witnesses and this and that. Whatever, we all know what attorney's do. In some case, the game is very strategic and puzzle like because of this. You always have to be thinking of what you are doing and how it will affect the future or at least thats what I assume...

Anyone ever play this game? What is it about? And furthermore, How is?

pheonix wright is AWESOME if you can play point and clicks and if story is important. youll usually be playing defense for a client that is all but declared guilty, everyone thinks he/she has done it but the gavel hasnt been slammed yet. the prosocution calls a witness with particularly devastating testimonials about what happened, but we all know your client is innocent right? thats why at the crime scenes all that evidence and secondary witnesses are needed. find a hole in their testimony then show everyone a piece of evidence that makes the jury glare angrily at the witnesses till they crack from pressure. if you cant play point and clicks and story isnt important just skip it. but if you can love more than killing x amount of enemies and saving y people and can appreciate a good story dont let it go by!

i had the game. it was fun for a few days.. then it kind of got lame. all the reading kind of detracted from the experience, the court cases seem (and are) too linear. there is only one thing you can do at every given time. i guess its worth a rent, and if you like it, go ahead and buy it. ive already sold mine

I liked it -- kinda linear, but it reminded me of those Choose Your Own Adventure books from when I was a kid. Definately worth a rent at least -- although once you've passed through the five cases in the game, there's not really any replay value.
