Title: Elebits Post by: Stasis on December 06, 2006, 11:06:50 PM Well Elebits is coming out soon so i firgue i make just a thread about it. So far it has been confirmed that it will use The Wii Connect 24 system to allow friends to change stuff in edit mode to each of the 25 stages allow very interesting replay ability plus very creative game play. the real question i want to ask do you think this game will be too kiddy?
Title: Re: Elebits Post by: Puff Daddy on December 06, 2006, 11:23:05 PM Too kiddy? I think its going to be fun for the first five minutes and then suck. I love the art work on the game and the way the little elebits appear...but besdes that what else is there to it? Pick up a toaster and fling it to the side to get some Elebits? How long do you think that will last on the fun-o-scale?
I think this game isn't going to be as fun as its getting cranked up to be. But then again, some wierd ass games have come out for the Nintendo consoles that I thought would be horrible and...meh? They turned out pretty good. I know I read a review of someone who got a hold of a Japanese copy of Super Smash Bros for 64, thought it was just some Nintendo gimmick to get people to buy it and expected it to suck..he now knows how wrong he is, and like all of us is probably just waiting in anticipation for the new SSBB to hit stores. So who knows? Maybe flinging a toaster to the side will be more fun than what I predict..... Title: Re: Elebits Post by: Ray00101 on December 06, 2006, 11:39:55 PM There's still a bit more to the game than we know right now--so I'll reserve my opinion until I have sufficient play time with it. I will say that it doesn't look kiddy--just like Katamari Damacy, it's simplistic appearance may have a kiddy appearance, but that doesn't mean that the game actually is. I'm sure Elebits will offer a fair amount of challenge. Think about other possible WiiConnect 24 uses; downloadable levels, new Elebit types, etc--this could be a great sleeper hit for the Wii.
I'm not totally sure that I'll be purchasing Elebits next month though, Super Swing Golf looks really promising from previews and it looks be a more fleshed out experience than Wii Sports Golf. Not to mention that the PC version rocks. I know that, eventually, I'll probably end up buying both, because they both look like nice additions to the Wii's evergrowing library of games. Title: Re: Elebits Post by: Vander on December 08, 2006, 06:59:31 PM No way it's too kiddy! Do you think lifting houses into the air and hurling it out of the stratosphere is kiddy? No! It's fun!
Title: Re: Elebits Post by: Miniluv on December 08, 2006, 07:06:58 PM Absolutely cannot wait for this, I think it's going to be great. Probably isn't going to brilliantly, though, which is a shame.
Title: Re: Elebits Post by: GamrGirl on December 09, 2006, 01:35:21 PM maybe we should sticky this topic? elebits looks great!
Title: Re: Elebits Post by: Puff Daddy on December 11, 2006, 11:31:36 PM Has any real big imporant information been released on this game besides the storyline and the multiplayer capabilities?
Title: Re: Elebits Post by: mathmagic on December 19, 2006, 12:42:54 PM This game is really cool because it makes me remind of 8-year old me playing with domino. Would like to try it altough I don't have a Wii :-)

Title: Re: Elebits Post by: Vander on December 22, 2006, 10:42:53 AM I saw it at Best Buy, so yeah, It's been released.
Title: Re: Elebits Post by: GuitarGamer on December 30, 2006, 12:26:00 PM It is actually quite fun, in short bursts.
Right now I'm on level 4. The only annoying thing is falling a few watts short of your goal in a 15min. level. I personally can't sit there and play it continuously for hours, but it is a fun solid game, IMO. Title: Re: Elebits Post by: ehjay on December 30, 2006, 01:16:05 PM My friend got it for christmas and i went to his house the other day and played it. It wasn't bad just to pick up and play. I thought for sure it would be just a waste of time. But quite literally anything you can see can be moved. Kinda fun. ONly thing is the multiplayer isn't split screen so one person controls the camera and person.
Title: Re: Elebits Post by: Bgbush on January 02, 2007, 10:33:39 AM Isnt it going to have online? I think you'll beable to post your own maps for other people to play.

I believe you can already send screenshots and custom levels to friends, though I haven't tried this yet. Title: Re: Elebits Post by: lilgoaliebro on February 20, 2007, 09:31:09 PM This game is very boring at first, but it became an awesome game later on, especially the boss battles. The multilayer isn't bad, but I do wish it was splitscreen and versus. And yes you can send maps and pics to friends. I have a picture of a pyramid of pigs if anyone wants! lol.
I wrote a little review a couple days ago on my blog so if you have time, read what my full thoughts are. http://shootmeinmysmile.blogspot.com/2007/02/elebits-frustrating-fun.html Title: Re: Elebits Post by: wii122 on April 04, 2007, 07:42:02 PM how do you play elebits?
Title: Re: Elebits Post by: Snipes1616 on April 18, 2007, 05:30:48 PM I think it is cool that you can trash a house, but the breaking limit is annoying and you can't explore more than a few rooms at a time. I also don't like the story line. Actually, I hate it. It's meant for two-year-olds and I'm not two...
