Title: Sonic the Hedgehog problems
Post by: TRIPtych on December 07, 2006, 11:43:20 AM
I can't seem to get the spin attack working?

I've got a classic controller and its sposed to be, down + keep tapping jump to do a spin/rev up.

Doesn't work on the wii remote either.

Now I was a sonic freak as a kid and I swear thats the way your sposed to do it.

Anyone else had this problem?

nah man, there wasnt many times you needed it in sonic one. if you get stuck in the first level against some funny looking walls go back a lil get a head start running and press down to spin through the walls. note that this will only work on certain walls. but the spin attack is my number one reason when i list sonic 2 above sonic one, not to mention level design.

Up, down, left, right, A, Start.

At the menu where Sonic is popping out of the logo. You should hear a twinkle. If you entered it right, it will take you to a menu where you can select any level in the game. Ch-ch-check it out!

I wish I still had all those sonic games for sega genesis.

Plus, the sonic and knuckles, whree you can put a different sonic game on top and then play those levels wth Knuckles.

Do they still have that in the download thingy on the Wii?

Hey, I've got a problem with Sonic on VC too; The game runs fine, but the background music runs at about half the speed it should..... I've re-downloaded it, and I haven't had the problem with other VC games... Any ideas?

If  you want every sonic game for the genisis, just buy Sonic DX. its the first game on every non-sega console and you can unlock every previous game on there. trust me, its better than downloading all of the old games.

no, I have Sonic DX and it has every single one, not just gamegear. Do I have to send you a source, or a pic?

"While that was pretty much the only incentive for playing through all the levels in the Dreamcast version, Sonic Adventure DX attempts to add more motivation by throwing in some Game Gear Sonic games that can be unlocked by acquiring Sonic emblems. You can get these emblems by performing well in individual levels, or by simply searching for them in various parts of the game. It's a nice extra to have initially, but once you realize that most of the Sonic Game Gear games weren't all that great to begin with--and that some of them actually have some slowdown issues--your interest in collecting enough emblems to unlock all of them will diminish."

send your screenshots and your pics but you better have the sonic games names clearly photographed on the menus of sonic adventure dx. there was a two pack of sonic adventure dx and mega collection but im talking plain and clear the disc labeled sonic adventure dx. but here in america, sonic adventure dx offered game gear games you could unlock but only by completing the lame missions in mission mode. sned your pics and sources, ive owned this game, unlocked every game gear game (very dissapointed by most of them) and completed 100% for every character and destroyed chaos with supersonic. i-know-what-im-talking-about. im a sonic fan and i make it my business to know

sonic 3 and knuckles was my crack cocain for my genesis days, had all the emeralds on every file for every possible char combination.
sonic
sonic and tails
knuckles
tails
tails was uber cheap with all emeralds as he got flickys that killed anything on screen with deadly cute little birdy effeciency.

I know this is kind of off topic, but I have Sonic Mega collection, and I am trying to play Sonic 3.  I just can't seem to access the level select menu.  I know you are supposed to do up, up, down, down, up,up,up,up while Sonic flashes across the title screen, but it doesn't seem to work.  Is there any specific advice you can give me?

yes, engage your bullet time. seriously the only way to access it is to type in the code lightning quick. once sega appears you better be ready, then once the white background with the sega logo goes black you have to type it in lightning quick before the title screen appears. ive only been able to get it to work on the genesis version consistently, the gamecube i could never get it to work with the standard controller because the cubes d pad is utterly useless and you cant really do it with the analog stick in time. to tell you hte truth, itd be better for you to unlock sonic 3 and knuckles, the code on there is easily doable, go to gamefaqs.com for info. plus sonic 3 and knuckles gives you an in game saving feature and its cool to be able to do all the levels in sonic 3 with knuckles and vice versa.
