Title: WII BROWSER ISSUES!! HELP!!
Post by: ZRod on January 31, 2007, 12:06:57 AM
it keeps freezing and i have 2 restart my Wii!  is it the Wii's fault, browser's fault, wi-fi signal's fault, or what?!

It could be your signal strength. You should test your connection and make sure it connects, etc. Also, make sure you aren't running on anything slower than DSL, which you probably aren't, but it can cause problems if you are.

If it isn't the signal, then try unplugging your Wii while you sleep overnight and then try it when you wake up in the morning. This is just to help your Wii cool down if it is too hot, which can definitely cause freezing, etc. Also, try to keep your Wii in an open area, not an enclosed shelf because this can cause major overheating, etc.

If all fails, then I have no idea what you should do. Let's just hope what I mentioned works. If not, it's most likely the browser's fault because this is an early beta, which means there are a lot of bugs still on the system.

Hope that helps!

I have been having the same problems and it seems lots of Wii owners are. I suspect it is the browser but Wii owners will only know for sure when the full version of the browser is available. I posted a similar message in the "general wii chat" forum.

I also posted a message entited "how fit is you Wii". You will find some info on where you can check you connect speed. It's quite funny as kept trying to bet my previous speed. My top connection speed was 12111kbps (12.111meg)
