the site is sooooo slooowww!

every website loads in a sec or less except wii-volution. my suggestion, get  a faster server for webhosting. it gets really annoying trying to get on and make a few posts but end up spending 20mins here because of slow load times

should mention, once and awhile there are some fast loads

Yeah, I agree with spawn, I've been having the same trouble. I would definitely try to get the site faster, I can't imagine not having DSL and trying to view the site.

Yea, guys I know. Its an very expensive and long process that I don't have time for right this minute. I had no idea this site would get this popular so quick, I mean there's 30 people online right now. Give me a week or two when I have time and i'll get things underway. I just sent in a ticket to my provider too and they are looking into restarting things.

Hey, you guys are lucky it actually loads at all. I know I am. I find myself constantly receiving "Cannot Find Server" errors when on this site. I have to repeatedly attempt to get back on the site more than one may think possible! :x  :x  :x

Like I said, im doing the best I can. if your seeming retarded loading times, email me and ill send in a ticket, its all I can do till I get things switched over.

Mine takes a few minutes, sometimes it's because I get like 3 tabs up of the forums at once. Just because I'm waiting on load.

I don't mean to complain, I can still get on the site eventually, I'm just saying that all these other members don't seem to realise how lucky they are(compared to me, anyway)... :roll:

Hopefully this is resolved soon.  Hosting is expensive - and building a userbase takes a fast server....and paying for hosting takes lots of ad clicks from the users that may be avoiding the site because it's slow.


Some kind of vicious cycle...  :P

Look forward to getting a new server after the 7th, I am shooting for that following week.

Awesome. Yeah, it's going to be a never ending cycle. Get a server, get your members, get more members, get a faster server, get more members, get a faster server. As long as you can afford to keep it up to pace with the members, you'll keep growing.

Yea as long as I can afford it... lol. I think once we have around 1000 active members is when i'll start worrying big time :-(

or some other amount of days, this will lighten the server load by telling spiders not to visit as often, leaving more bandwidth for your members.

I dont think a few google and msn bots are really the cause of the slow downs because they dont put anymore load on my server than one of you guys do :-P But I did change it to 3 days though to have some balance because content changes daily here and because googles likes to index (http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&q=site:www.wii-volution.com) this site which is a very good thing. Maybe things will load a bit faster, maybe not, we'll have to see :-)

I haven't noticed as many slow downs. Or maybe I'm just getting used to them, so that might have helped a little bit.

Yeah, the site is soooo much faster. It's great. It loads in a few seconds now. Like it should be! I like it a lot. :D
