Well I just looked at it and I think it's fake. Sonic doesn't even blend in with the surroundings he looks sort of greenish. It was probably someone who was messing around, posted it on their site and said "hey, how neat it would be if it was real..." and then someone saw the pic, didn't read the words, and started going haywire about it.
