Well what if I only enjoy one of the author's images? What if I totally dislike the other image and I do not think the author should win for that one?

Psh... Well there goes that assumption. I could care less if I won. I'd be grateful if I did, but I could seriously care less if I won seeing as I would most likely return the game to GameStop and get cash for it towards my 360.

I could care less about this contest, but I'd rather see a picture I like get picked rather than the author get generally picked. I don't think it is fair because some of the submitters may have not had the time to even get two in. The contest should be limited to one per user, and only one.

But seeing as everyone here immediately judges me on my opinion towards something, I highly doubt this post will change anyone else's opinion either.

Have fun voting for a, most likely, rigged competition! (Seriously, I access 3 computer networks per day, so that means I could go and vote for myself 3 times. Anyone can do it.) And it really isn't like Meridian could notice that it was me doing it, seeing as I never said anything about it before.

You might want to rethink the polling system, Mr. Admin, because there are many ways to easily vote for yourself.

First off, you really need to re-read your post and calm down. There will be no cheating on this contest, 1 vote per account per ip. First off I check the ip of the vote, then I check to see if there was a account created just to vote (an empty account) if I see either, like the previous contest, that person is disqualified and this time around banned. So please don't challenge me ST, I'll be looking for cheaters even harder now. Your additude is not how a staff member should be acting on Wii-volution. For the next contest, i'll allow as many submissions as anyone wants, but they may only have one to vote for, hows that? I think that's a good medium.

I do not have a problem with multiple entries, sometimes i get multiple funny ideas.  But i do think the votting situation needs a little sprucing up. Could we have only the people who enter the contest can vote along with the admin and any other previous contest winners. It will be easier for the admin to track and everyone will know how many people can vote and possible points. Also i think its OK for previous contest winners to enter the new contest for good sport and diffrent views, but i dont think they should be able to win again. Share the wealth ^_^. It still seems we are not votting on the best picture and more like we are votting on who we know and who is our friends. We need to vote for Creativity, Originality, Funniest, Best looking, and Over all appearance. Lets keep it fun.

Also is it my browser or my computer. It keeps telling me invalid security code  when i try to update my profile and try sending email to meridianblade or anyone. Meridianblade do you know whats going on?

I'd rather not say anything, but I have to. First off, votes per account per IP can't be perfect. Anyone can register with an account, post for awhile, and then vote. Then come back the next day so it doesn't look suspicious.

Next, I would like to know the point of multiple submissions when you can only vote for one in the end. It makes absolutely no sense to allow a multiple submission seeing as the author has to pick his/her/it's favorite which makes no sense to display it. It should be the author's pick on the image, not the general public.

Anyway, I understand that what I posted wasn't anything good, but it's people like MysticGohan who decide to trash their image in order to "point and laugh" at someone. Did you notice I said nothing about him or anything else mentioned in my reply to his post? No. I was just saying why I didn't like the competition because of the multiple submissions, and I just chose not to vote because of it. He had no reason to trash his image as a respected member, but hey, if he wants to, let him.

I want to know if this Atari contest is to be bringing in more people, or just a little present for the members already here? I have to really agree with SuperTongue on this one, because all I would need is 5 friends join right now, and by the last week they will have been active for a while. Then there would be no true way of pining cheating on me. 

I also think the photoshop image part of this contest is at a very unfair advantage. First off I only have paint so it takes a long time to make a photo. Then since it takes so long I only have time for 1 picture. To boot I have a very strange, and most of the time, a inside joke kind of humor that an average joe will not find funny.

So which MoP's pictures is everyone choosing? eggo or darth vader? I'm sorry but this contest is turning out like a Zrod contest to basically who ever has the most time will have a better chance at winning (More time = more money = more tickets to a contest = better chance of winning) = (more time = more entries = better chance of winning).

And the really sad part of it all is that the majority, if not everyone who wins, will end up selling this game when I actually want it.

Same here i really would love to play this game or i might have to wait till my b day or xmas and by then the game will be only 30 bucks.

I'm not going to even argue anymore. I thought this would be a fun way to show off your creative sides (regardless if it was in Mario Paint or Photoshop cs3) and allow me to reward both new and loyal members alike for their inspirations. I thought letting the community vote for their favorite instead of mine would be fun and involving too... looks like it all backfired on me, shame on me I guess. There's just too much greed and spite spewing from this unfortunately.

Aww man i liked the picture editing thing. I had the most pictures and a good bit of time to make them and i only got one vote. So i do not think the person with the most time and most pictures is the auto winner. I only got 1 vote  :-(  Anyways is contest 3 still on? I'm about to make a picture and ill try to limit myself to only one this time. If there is no more contest can you aution the remaining games to us forum people who do enter the contest?

kingcire, I was the one who voted for you. I didn't say the more pictures will ensure that you win, but it definitely helps your chance of winning. IMO neither week 1 or 2 winners had the funniest picture...

If you guy want to keep doing the picture thing we can... do you want me to pick my favorite or some alternative to the current voting system? Let me know what yall come up with.

Imawii thx for the vote ^_^ Anyways i was just showing as an example that even the person with the most pic's or most time has the same chance as anyone. What should sell the picture to win is the single idea that revoles around that picture more then the art or numbers.

As for voting the admin could pick his favorite 3 and then we vote on those. Or we vote for the top 3 and he picks out the one that wins. Either way it should help out a little. Everyone wants the game and people are more likly to vote for there friend then the best picture. So gotta put chance into it like a lotto and prey its your number thats picked.

For the voting, so it isn't a "popularity contest", how about all submissions are emailed to you, instead of posted by the respective authors.  You can then post them and not name the author.  Have people vote for their favorite without knowing who made which (and anyone who posts telling their picture would be disqualified) it would be completely objective, and based on the author's creativity, not who they are.

As for people without photoshop, who have to use paint... just acquire photoshop the same way I can just about guarantee everyone who used it in this thread acquired it.  It's not that hard.  As for "every contest is a photo editing contest" 2 out of 3 isn't every contest.  The first one was a caption contest, not a photo editing contest.  If you want to change the last 2 contests to something else, go for it, but stick with making people at least earn it.  It's a contest, not a giveaway.

Some don't have the means to download a pirated illegal version of Photoshop which could eventually get your arrested or fined at a very high price if you are caught, which someone accessing my wireless network was, so my family almost got in trouble for it.

So, I would highly advise you to not advertise for "Torrents" or any other kind of nearly illegal file system on a public forum. I really doubt you payed the $600+ (or whatever the cost of Photoshop is) to acquire the license to own a version of Photoshop.

For those who do not want to risk the rest of their lives or all of their money on downloading a program to win a game that only costs $50, try a program like GIMP. Just search Google for it. You could also try Paint.net (that's the name of the program, not the website) which has a very Photoshop-like interface for those interested.

but think about this: millions of people worldwide have computers. many have the same wireless networks. it's pretty freaking hard to trace to one computer when virtually everyone is doing it. take ISOhunt and Limewire, they are basically the same, download something for free....yet, Limewire has Pro, and Isohunt has...what was it? something like 600 terabytes?

Yes, even though the odds are high for being found out, you could just happen to be that lucky one they trace back to the main computer. It's really the person's choice to do it or not, so if they want to, let them.

I do download some things, *DS*games*cough, but I will end up spending money on the games at the end of the day. As far as illegally acquired programs or cracked pc games I do not partake in. Even just downloading those types of files through a file uploading site you can still be caught, and actually I know a person that got in trouble from there.

still, i mean, if they exist, then they can't be THAT illegal, right?
