It's awesome.  I'm on chapter 2-1 and loving it.  What a great game.

Agreed - Awesome. Mario games are the original reason I bought a Wii. Picked it up at Best Buy (first one to get it off the cart while they were opening the boxes and stocking it!).

I'm stuck on 1-3 - blue platform ... any hints? - Ryan

Now how on earth did you figure that out? - I did too but it's odd that some random combo opens the end up ... tricky.

I got the game tuesday afternoon, around 6:30, and I would have beaten it by now because I am on spring break, but I have to let my brothers play or they will cry and get me in trouble. So, I am only about to enter chapter 5-1, and I do not have the guide. I have done everything by myself with no help at all, and so far I have spent about 11 or so hours on it and I am at level 12. This is best game I have played on the Wii yet! I love it! Aren't Mario games just the funest games to play?! :em-29:

That's probably why Mario is Nintendo's main icon...

You should not rent or buy, but send the money to me...just kidding :-D!

Try renting it if you are unsure or check other websites for reviews and make a decision.

This game is a deffinent buy! The game is very long I have just beaten chapter 5 and just those 4 stages in chapter five took me about 3 hours and so far the hole game has taken me 14 hours. (I like to do a few of the sidequests and enjoy the game). The puzzles get really complicated the further you get into the game. Just because there are no turn based battles anymore does not mean the game is short. You can go to IGN for a good review, but do not think everything in their review is true, because it isn't. I have found out that the game is harder then IGN makes it sound. If your a Mario fan, this game is surely worth $50. I will also try to get a review of this game up by the weekend if I finish the game by then. IGN also has a video review. You can check that out on Youtube. FUN GAME. :em-30:

It's not turn absed, it's like a 2D sidescroller with a 3D twist. Definitely a buy - mad playability. I'm planning on getting the guide AFTER I beat it, next payday sometime. I'm in love with this game, seriously. Not as good as SMB3 though - too much storyline to have to run through so far - but ultimately fun regardless. Maybe it is better than SMB3, who knows? - Ryan

Too much storyline!! The comedic storyline is always a plus, even though it's a little long for a Mario game.   :-) :-) :-)

yes...I like the other way better, but it's still pretty fun...

And I'd say if you beat games fast Rent..unless you like to replay games...

There are many ways to beat an enemy. You can use you partners (Pixls) abilities, you can use an attack item, or you can attack with Bowsers flamethrower ir jump on them. Some enemies have spikes and you must find another way to kill them. The puzzles are crazy hard, too.

There is actually a place in the level where it tells you.

Oh, I explored over and over again before turning online for an answer - I found everything that seemed important, but not that. Oh well.

I've also decided to save up for a DS.

I am thinking of a DS - seems like I have more time now on my hands everywhere. Is that Mario game on DS any good? it looked great when it released - New Super Mario Bros. I almost bought one then, but DS Lite was coming out and I didn't want to buy an obsolete design when the new one was almost out ... Then I lost interest.

How hard would you say this game is?

1 being for a baby and 10 being impossible without cheat codes.

I would say 7 because you always have to flip to 3D to find your way through the game.

Do they have any super secret rooms that are hard to find and that give you rare items?

Title: Re: Super Paper Mario
Post by: Slick on April 19, 2007, 06:36:05 PM
Yes, there are. I have found some, but there is one that is truly impossible to get after you beat Chapter 8. After Chapter 8 you lose Tippi and the pointing abillity and there is a door that I just found in 1-2 after going back through the level. You need Tippi to make a platform visible so you can stand on it to get through the door, but I do not have Tippi anymore. Does anyone know if you can get back Tippi after you beat the game? Otherwise, whatever is in that room I can not get without restarting and I have already spent about 30 hours on the game. :?

yea though there not super hard to find sometimes..

and as for hardness I'd five it about a 5-6 cause its not that hard its just tryting to find everything and puzzling things out sometimes...and I suck at games but Im not really having any problems...

and yes my sister did use the guide..so am I

oh..and slick btw the door there isnt a platform below it I know what your talking about my sister beat the game and I think you go through it at the end...

After you beat the game you can revisit chapters, and you can go buy a replacement Tippi from Frank for 999 coins. Why cant you use the robot version of her?

its a great game Id give it a 9.4/10 it is just as funny if not funnier than the previous ones. Adds great new twists and doesnt do worse by the turn style rpg factor removed

hey, nobody wanted the RPG to go away. the RPG was great, and they added in a feature to skip battles with weaker opponents. wasnt the game much better when you walked around in 3D all the time?

I got Paper Mario yesterday and played it like all night long!  IT IS A GREAT ADDITION TO THE NINTENDO WII COLLECTION.  It also got a great score...the strange part is, is that Nintendo Power gave it the same score that they gave Zelda:  Twighlight Princess!!!  Wierd...but I actually have to agree, somewhat, with the them. :em-16:
