Wii-volution

im not getting mine till wednesday but if any one has tips on what to do or what pokemon I should pick first. I want to be prepared.

I can't get this game until June, most likely with Battle Revolution, because I am saving for my 360 and a ton of stuff with it. (I need 700+ for everything I want, which I should be able to reach by June.)

I'll probably get this game with Battle Revolution a little after halfway through June. I doubt I'll be playing online for awhile...

You can play online w/out BattleRevolution. I sprinted down to the nearest Bestbuy (Half hour walk) just when it opened (11:00 AM) and got the last copy of Diamond. I'm gonna start it pretty soon, but I have HW (Screw you homework).

In other news...

Today I also bought Socom II for my PSP.

I know. I just said "I doubt I'll be playing online for awhile..." because I won't be getting Diamond and BR until June and most people will have strong Pokemon by then.

yeah and i will be one of those people. i will be the BEST!!! ha ha ha ha ha ha ha...... :oops:

Well this sucks. I got Diamond and can't play it. You know why? Because I can't find my f-ing  AC Adapter. DS is out of battery.

Ps. You can always improvise and use an AR if you have to.

That happened to me Saturday night.  Spent 2 hours searching til I found my DS cable.  Was worth it though, since I already put a good 5-6 hours into Diamond.

I'm getting Pearl this friday, so I'll be wi-fi-ing with anyone who wants to play.

I still haven't had time to sit down and play it, but I think I'll try to find some time today so I can be ready when Battle Revolution comes out.

And yes you can play without Diamond or Pearl, BUT when you battle someone online you have to rent a pokemon which sucks because it can't level up or evolve. So in other words, you will get pwned online without Diamond or Pearl.

If anyone has the game and has played it, say ur friend codes so we might be able to battle and stuff. Ill post mine too.

It's more of a local job, which barely pays (I get 5.50 an hour, way below minimum wage.), but it gets me money. I work at the gift shops in a local amusement park, and it really isn't half bad seeing as I am either in the air conditioning (summer) or in the warm heat (fall).

By June, adding my allowance with my job and birthday, I should have anywhere between $800 and $1000 to spend on my 360.

at lease yours is better then mines which is nothing

I'm starting to make around $600/week. So once I save up a couple grand, put more money into my project car, and get myself a new computer, a 360 will be mine in no time.

P.S. SuperTongue where do you live with the minimum wage being above $5.50? I know in several states its only $5.15 ...

I live in Pennsylvania. They recently raised minimum wage from $6 something to, I think, $7.25.

I've got a decent job...atleast for my age. (14) I am a certified Soccer REf, and get payed 25 bucks a game...can be raised to a max of 42. Thats a single hour, and I do 2. Im in good shape for now I guess...

I'm also 14 (15 in June) and I've got well... the only job available to my age because nowhere in the area can I get a job at my age. Once I turn 16 I'll be going to a place in town, such as Weis Markets or GameStop.

By working a full week (max is 40 hours) I can make just under $200. But for 40 hours, that isn't a lot.

Ok, I just edited down your title for a second time, just to show that you weren't shouting...

You should get a job! Its worth it and mine is fun! lol

I have come to believe that the best place for young people to get jobs is working at a restaurant.  You probably won't be able to be hired til around 15 though.  Find one close by and get yourself a job as a dishwasher or a busser.  Then, bust your ass and impress your bosses, and you'll be moved up in no time.  Once you impress them enough for them to train you as a line cook (be patient, could take a year or 2) then you're set.  Once you know how to do that, you'll never be stuck for a job, you can always find one.  On top of that, depending on the Restaurant, cooks can get paid extremely well.  I started cooking at 7.15/hr at age 17.  At 19, I was making 10/hr cooking, with several people I know making over 12/hr.  Right now, I took a slight paycut and took job making 8/hr to help a friend of my Dad's, but I'll be getting another raise there soon.

Another thing with cooking is you can always expect to recieve plenty of Overtime if you're good and want it, and that time and a half sure adds up.  On top of that, days off are generally easy to come by, even if paid vacation is a rare commodity.

I started it 2 days after I got it, the reason being I coudn't find my charger. I only  get to play it every now and then...but I have 7hrs of playtime, 2 badges, a team of like lv 20's and the bike.

I also started w/ Chimchar and have a Monferno.

I just picked up Pearl at Wal-Mart. It came with a carrying case for the same price as the game, so I just got that.

My Monferno is at like 38 I think.  I haven't played for a few days though.  2 more weeks til finals are over, then I can enjoy it.

I went to toys r us for a mew and they said i came too late, that the event ended at 3:00.
I got there at 3:02!!!(according to them. my clock said 2:54) I wish my ruby pokedex could be used to update my diamond one, then i could get any pokemon 3rd gen or lower. I wish i had a deoxys.

If anyone has lower level Pokemon (below 20) I'll be glad to chat or fight. Also, to MysticGohan, the legendary Palkia is said to be more powerful (not by much though) than Diamond's Dialga.

good thing is bought & rented a lot of stuff (i bought The Godfather, Pokemon, rented Super mario, Bought some pizza and got a 3 month subscription to Game Access)i think all these thing will keep me busy till i save enough money for a 360. so its not all bad...

If you found previous Pokemon games to be good, pick it up. This is a lot like the other games, so if you the extra money to burn...definetly get it - afterall, its friggin' pokemon and who doesn't love a mouse who can fire electric bolts out of its rosy cheeks? Besides that, expect the same annoying, drawn-out introduction and after that its smooth sailing until you get to the Final Four who will severely f*&^ you up. Now if you weren't fond of previous pokemon games, don't bother. If you never played a pokemon game before, I would suggest getting this still because it is a solid game that will keep you occupied for tons of hours or in other words, its well worth the 35 USD.

i finally got the guts to open the box... and i played the game and its like 8-8.5 well i have yet to get to the online.. and my Pokemon are from level 4-8

Yeah, the games are pretty nice even though they feel and play like all the other Pokemon games.

I was just playing around with my computer speakers and plugged them into my DS Lite and started Pearl. It's a pretty smooth transition from the DS to my speakers and isn't jittery, etc.

OMG, LOL, thats what i do with my ds games! i have like 2 pc speakers on my bed one on each side and i plug in my DS or my Mp3 player. its Gold much better sound then the ds speakers...

Yeah, I agree. The sound quality is much better and with my sub it adds a better experience to the game.

I really like the gameplay. When I first heard it was coming out for the DS, I didn't think they could make it work on 2 screens, but they did.

They never said the event time. We only knew the date thanks to Nintendo Power (Best Magazine Ever)

Lol. i only get to play my Diamond about an hour a day, so I have about 10-12 hrs of gameplay with a team of lv 30'sand 4 badges.
