Title: I picked PSP over DS Post by: ZRod on June 11, 2007, 12:55:55 AM Looked at the games. PSP games intrigued me more. What can I say.
If you ask me, Nintendo is still targeting the younger ages too much, I didn't see any games that were not, well, kiddish!! Title: Re: I picked PSP over DS Post by: Wiirulez on June 11, 2007, 06:18:28 AM I like both so Im going to add a 'I like both' option to the poll. :-D
Title: Re: I picked PSP over DS Post by: SuperTongue on June 11, 2007, 08:33:51 AM Meh, I never really got into my PSP a lot. I have one along with three games, but those are the only three games I ever really wanted for the system.
With the DS, there are tons of games that I wanted and now have. So I guess I can vote for the DS. Title: Re: I picked PSP over DS Post by: meridianblade on June 11, 2007, 09:45:53 AM http://www.youtube.com/v/-6nDrjrSJy8

If you ask me, Nintendo is still targeting the younger ages too much, I didn't see any games that were not, well, kiddish!! I always felt like that Nintendo handhelds have been superior no matter what competitor they have been against. The PSP has several issues to work out before it still gets good. And G4, the video game TV channel, often reviews PSP poorly...mostly due to the fact that they absolutely hate the PSP. But, if you feel it fits your needs better....enjoy! Title: Re: I picked PSP over DS Post by: Wiirulez on June 11, 2007, 03:29:04 PM Of course MBlade is going to stab at the PSP.....
Mine isnt nearly THAT slow. In fact, my PSP is in great shape and is pretty speedy. Title: Re: I picked PSP over DS Post by: MysticGohan on June 11, 2007, 06:19:51 PM You should have waited because there is a rumor going around thats states that Sony is going to announce the PSP redesign at E3 and its going to be release it later this year.
Title: Re: I picked PSP over DS Post by: HeroInAHalfShell on June 11, 2007, 07:12:26 PM Lol, that loading stuff is so true. I remember playing my Friends psp, the games took so long to load, gah, that friend is a fool by the way. He got a original ds, after a while sold it, ds lite came out, he bought one of those, got in to the psp, sold the ds lite and bought a psp, got bored of the psp cuz its gay, and sold it and bought another lite...Anyways, that might mean that ure gonna get bored of ure psp and get a ds, its the way to go, the only thing its good for is music and pictures...maybe movies.
Title: Re: I picked PSP over DS Post by: Wiirulez on June 11, 2007, 08:01:01 PM MG, I dont need a remodel. Mine is in perfect working condition and its one of the few International PSP's, i.e. it isnt region locked and doesnt need a modchip.
Title: Re: I picked PSP over DS Post by: MysticGohan on June 11, 2007, 08:34:09 PM ^ the redesign is suppose to be 8x fasted and have better load time and is sead to be slimmer
Title: Re: I picked PSP over DS Post by: Puff Daddy on June 11, 2007, 10:55:23 PM ^ the redesign is suppose to be 8x fasted and have better load time and is sead to be slimmer Yeah. Its like how the DS had a redesign. Its nothing new. Just a few improvements. Title: Re: I picked PSP over DS Post by: iimawii™ on June 12, 2007, 02:53:45 PM Those videos are completely true. I only owned 5 umd games and I couldn't stand the load times, ended up ripping them with Fast Loader, and selling them back. So once you learn how to put an iso on a pro duo, the load time greatly reduces. I liked the PSP better for movies, having mp4/pmp format, and also liked it better for playing emulators such as Neo Geo. With my DS I hardly play any emulators only NES and GENS, but the large amount of actual titles makes up for that.

Sry forgot to mention that they are planing on having 8gb built into the redesign.. the price in not for sure but the rumor says that they want to keep it at $170 us...Title: Re: I picked PSP over DS Post by: Alkemystical on June 16, 2007, 09:05:19 PM Those videos are completely true. With my DS I hardly play any emulators only NES and GENS, but the large amount of actual titles makes up for that. Also the ability the convert PS1 titles into eboots rulez. All you have to do is Download the ISO (or Rip an ISO from one of your owned PS titles) and use POPstation to convert it an eboot and play it on your PSP. I have Tales of Destiny II on my 2 GB Mem Stick right now. Of course you'll need the proper firmware.....( Dark_Alex's custom firmware 3.40 OE-A) All though I picked "I like both" (which I do), I'm gonna have say I like PSP better. Title: Re: I picked PSP over DS Post by: MysticGohan on June 16, 2007, 10:02:05 PM ds with r4 kicks ass!
Title: Re: I picked PSP over DS Post by: iimawii™ on June 17, 2007, 04:35:59 PM Alkemystical, I completely forgot to mention the PS1 emu. I read up on psp news, and I remember hearing about it with the dark_alex firmware and felt like crap not having my psp anymore. I almost want to find an used psp just to play some good "classic" PS1 titles. Jet Moto (w/ the out of boundary trick), Twisted Metal, Loaded, FFVII...the list could go on.
Title: Re: I picked PSP over DS Post by: mathmagic on August 03, 2007, 11:17:23 AM picked PSP. DS games suck. I waited 1.5 years for Pokémon pearl and on PSP I see at least 20 good games.
