Meh, the chocolate is too "popular" for me to like. It's just another phone that can play music. In fact, that's what it is specialized for. I'd rather get an iPhone than this (and I really don't want an iPhone).

I'd suggest getting a RAZR2, but they are $600. But they are very much worth the cash. (That's $600 U.S. by the way...)

i would get an iphone for $600 and chocolate is a pretty desant phone!

dam the razr 2 is spiffy but i dont think its worth $600
the phone is $600 has no memory card  :em-32:

It isn't "exactly" $600. Most cell phone service providers usually lower the price for different reasons, such as getting a new contract.

iPhones aren't worth $600 either. All it is is an iPod with a touch screen. Actually, it is an iPod Video with a lot less memory. And it doesn't even have GPS. Google Maps? W-T-F? Any cell phone with an internet browser can access Google Maps easily. Why the hell not put in the GPS? Pretty damn idiotic for Mr. Jobs.

Some, but not as many as normal new phones, such as the RAZR 2. And I suggest getting white (in case of smudges, etc.) and if you have a white DS Lite, it'll match!

The RAZR2 is a much better improvement from the original RAZR. It looks less like a "toy" and more like a professional-grade phone. There aren't exactly "astounding" features about it, but it works a lot faster than many phones (well at least it does than my old a850) and is very light-weight, but still heavy enough to keep you in the know that it isn't shitty plastic anymore.

Great way to contribute to the entire thread you fucking dumbass. Anyway, if you are unable to comprehend that:

If you upgrade a phone from a brick to the RAZR2, it is a godsend. Do you understand that? Or must I go in to further detail for your mentally challenged mind to grasp the concept of it?

Weirdly enough I see Razr's everywhere but have never seen that Chocolate thing before. But then I live in Australia so surprise suprise  ::)

It all depends on your tastes I guess. I had a flip phone for about a week and hated the thing and went back to a candybar or "brick" as you call it. My mum briefly owned a Razr and I found it annoying to use for texting, I don't use the dictionary and the repeat rate was too slow. That and I don't like the feel of the buttons. But for other people it must have a lot going for it because I see it everywhere.

I have one possible reason not to get that phone in white, if it bothers you that is. Thats a pretty damned feminine looking phone.

I have Sony Ericsson which I bet a lot of people hate. I just like how it texts. Thats all. Can't remember the model its a K something i. But I'm probably not going to buy another SE because the charger port drives me nuts, my old phone which was a K700i had a different charger port so i hoped its problems would be ironed out but no this ones ended up even worse. Getting the bloody thing to charge is like playing that operation game - tilt it slightly as you're putting it down and you'll have to wiggle it again to get it to realize it has a power plug up its arse.

Well a lot of people here also have the original RAZR (see here (http://z.about.com/d/cellphones/1/0/O/V/motorola-razr-v3c-g.jpg)), but the new RAZR2 is a rare occasion to spot. This is the RAZR2:

Also, by "brick" I was refering to the actual size and wieght of the phone rather than the shape. (Certain phones, like the Chocolate, are more appealing even though they have the non-flip phone to them.)

Let me ask you this: Can you take your fancy, expensive cell phone and drop in the toliet before you're about to take a crap because you pulled it out so you could play a game of billards while you "dropped the kids off at the pool," and then -without any thought - plunged your hand into the toliet, grabbed it, and called the first person on your calling list who happens to be your ex-girlfriend just to see if your phone works, and worked?

World's longest question. Only to prove one thing. My $10 cell phone could give your $200 razor a stunner while stomping in the $600 iPhone's vagina lips.

And lets not add in the extra benefits of having a extra couple hundred dollars by the savings I got by buying the cheap phone. But lets also factor in all the woman I can call on my cheap phone faster than some crappy touch screen phone can.

All I'm saying is.....why buy something so expensive if its only going to last only for a little?

Wrong  in the fact of "faster calls" considering, I'm guessing, my phone would happen to be faster than yours. I'm not saying that to be a douchebag, like Mac-fans, who must pound it into your head until you agree with them. I'm just saying because most "cheap" phones either require you to dial the entire number or use an odd speed-dial system. (Press the number, press send blah blah). I just have mine set to a quick tap sort of function where the speed dial automatically calls after holding in the number for less than 2 seconds (if that).

Now you also must take into consideration that different people take care of things differently. Some people constantly drop their phones/expensive stuff, and others are extra cautious about it. If you're the second (like I would consider myself), then the phone will last longer. If not, well, you're, pardon my language, fucked with the new RAZR. I've also invested in an InvisibleShield, works great and keeps even major scratches from happening.

I would put myself in the take care of things category, all of my games, cameras, computer gear, books are all in perfect condition because I am pedantic about how well I take care of them.

Except my phone. I talk to my girlfriend on that, and that means its destined to be hurled against walls and whatever object happens to be in range. So I can vouch for the K700i being a tough bastard I put that through some serious punishment before the speaker broke...

My brother is big into buying cell phones. Real expensive ones. ONes that can tranform and crap. They're like mini computers.

I, too, like Skarteh have a girlfriend. So it gets used often, and usually abused (not because I throw it across the room) but more like because I tend to just drop the thing a lot. I just wanted to know why buy a expensive phone when no matter how careful you are, it is indeed subject to the possibilities of being damage. Of course, if I asked my brother this, he'd roll his eyes and make some stupid comment and then in return, I would want to personally stomp his face in.

I'm never going to buy a Razor....well, until they've fallen to a reasonable $10 price for me. Which will be in 20 or so years. But I'll be getting it, because I was explained the positives of it.

It's just a hard way to explain it. I guess I could explain by referencing to video games. Let's say the GTA games. Why buy GTA IV when you can get San Andreas or GTA III (which takes place in the same city as GTA IV) at a bargain price? Well you'll mainly get it for the new features, as with all sequels/series games. New graphics, new locations, etc. With a cell phone, you get it for faster service, better service (yes, different phones get better service than others), a faster phone overall, and upgraded/up-to-date features in an appealing package.

As with the new Razr, you get a much faster phone than many on the market, great service (at least with Verizon; I get better service in certain areas than with my old phone), a better camera, music player, and overall accessibility of everything on the phone. Sure, some people won't like it, but some people don't like the Wii or PS3. It's just their opinion.

To be honest, my mum has like a full on old school Nokia brick. It has one of those batteries thats about the size of the phone and clips on the back. Even if I had that phone I can't say I've ever been using it and thinking GOD DAMNIT THIS PHONE IS TOO SLOW! Calling someone on that phone takes under 5 seconds, how much faster does it need to be?

On my phone I press say 1 and send and its calling my 1st speed dial. That takes under a second but I wouldn't care if it took me a bit longer... I'm rarely in a situation where a few seconds matter..

By faster, I didn't specifically mean calling speed. One way was that it connected faster than my old phone, started faster than my old phone, and loads aps faster than my old phone. The music and camera basically boot up immediately, rather than the 3-5 second load times (ZOMG THAT'S SO LONG). The one-touch dialing is amazing, you just hold the key down for speed dial and it initiates the call nearly instantly. Makes great use for the lazy person, such as I.
