Wii-volution

Are you going to pre-order your Nintendo Wii or you are going to be one of the billions of the waiting crowd in front of the shops?

I haven't decided yet. If I pre-order it I will get it earlier but it won't be a european and I am affraid of having problems...

seeing as how I'm in good 'ol USA - I probably should preorder.  Otherwise I won't get one until after Christmas.

I am one of the lucky ones to have that virtue. I am waiting. Making sure the Wii has all the kinks out and that my $200+ investment is the right one.

I don't think I'm going to pre-order. Depending on the release date I'll either buy it at launch or see if I can't get my parents to give it to me at Christmas. It'll also depend on how much money on have whether I pre-order or even buy at launch.

gamestops had over 100xbox 360s around launch, they were going for over 1k on ebay and sold out in stores

the wii will only have around 20-30 in eb and gamestop, its cheaper, and MORE people can buy them. im going to preorder one.

Today I saved my first 10 euros for the Wii. A great moment! :D (I think I will pre-order it)

Yeah, I mow a few lawns but it's not enough. However I applied for a job as a cashier at a local supermarket just a few days ago. I'm hoping I'll get it.

i alreadt am ;) lol, its fun but can get soooo boring and repetative.

mow a lawn for $20/week and mow for like 10 weeks gives ya $200, for 1 lawn over the summer

I wish I could just go back to the days when my parents gave me money. Growing up sucked haha.

Yeah, my parents are slowly starting to cut what money they give me and for what. I am noticing that I have to pay for more and more stuff. Hopefully I can still get them to get me a Wii for Christmas if need be.

You are off topic guys! :P But even off topic this forum is great. I mean, if my 10 cousin comes here and reads your posts his life would be much better because he would learn that 90% of human's problem come from money (I would tell him that 9% come from women and the other 1% has other reasons) and that it is very important to have priorities. Plus that Wii is the console for him to buy! :P

To get on topic again, wouldn't that be a good idea if wii-volution.com searched for some e-shops that would offer pre ordering and put its banners here? Plus, there could be a kind of deal with the site making a profit out of this.

P.S: Spawn, is paintball one of your hobbies?

Yeah, I think places like Lik-Sang will let you put a banner for a specific type of deal in a banner and give you money per click or a percentage of any purchase.

I'm going to pre-order one from Amazon as soon as a European release date has been confirmed(which will apparently be around September).

Ive decided to preorder 2 wiis just incase my friend wants one :D

yeah but the ps3 will be where the ebay money comes in, 360 sold for about 1k for prem.

so thats 2.5 times the price, that means ps3 may sell for $1,500 USD if its at the same rate

and Wii would sell for $500 - $625

Yeah, if I had enough money I'd definitely sell one or more on eBay.

You have a point with the PS3's high divedends, but I'm not even going to be able to buy 1 at that time, I'm guessing, so I'd rather buy 2 or 3 Wiis and reap smaller, but still applicable, profits.

I know that you can go ahead and put your money down for the already announced titles for the Wii at EB but I don't think that they are accepting preorders for it yet. They'll probably need to find out how many they are getting first.

Down at my local videogame store in town they were taking preorders on the PS3 but not Wii. It's not one of those big companies just one somebody in town has started up.

Yeah, I figured that's why. I'm sure when the release date comes out for the Wii they'll start doing it for it. But it hasn't stopped them from taking preorders on games.

Yeah, I've never heard of Gamestation. So I assume it's a UK only store.

Yep, that's where I saw that Game & Watch system that I was talking about. They have quite a large variety of last-gen titles as well. :D

I've never preordered a system before how much does it cost? Like $10? I know for a game it's around $5.

To be honest, I'm not entirely sure. I haven't seen it on preorder yet(not even on Amazon). I have never preordered anything before, either. I did import the DS though, but that's not the same thing...

If it wasn't too much I might preorder one, but I'm not going to pay over $10 just because that money can go towards more games and the system itself.

I think a place called 'Game fast'...? is letting preorders even to Wii games which haven't even been confirmed. It's only like $70!!

I read it on some forum, a guy was complaining about the price and the fact that the games weren't even confirmed. I guess games are rumored to be about $50 new. So a preordered game is $70....a game that isn't even sure it will be out on the Wii. Go figure. I read it on a different forum....happy to say, the guy complaining was saying how much Game fast sucked and $70 for a game was insane. Yeah well...thats all I know about preordering.
