It sure got us talking at least. I do know that there are some secrets that will only be revealed when the game is in my Wii and I've been playing it for a while, but it's nice to get talking.

Ridley would probably be slightly bigger than Bowser, if he's actually in there. I'm sure his flying will be limited in the same way Kirby and Jigglypuffs is.

Young Link, if used properly, is completely worthless. Even higher on the chain of dumb is Ice Climbers, so thank you for that one. Mr. Game and Watch I'm indifferent about. He wasn't terrible, but he wasn't good either. Well, to make room for Ridley, I'd boot him though.

I'm hoping some more clones are kicked out. At least Pichu and Dr. Mario, as they are too "cloneish."

Stop keeping secrets? I wish they'd keep more secrets! I was really excited when all of a sudden, BAM "Hey, theres a new channel for ya! Download it!" Even though the Everybody Votes channel sucks terribly, it was still new, free, and I wasn't expecting it at all.

Boo hoo... Mario Party 8 is delayed. There are an abundance of party games already on the Wii, I can't imagine people getting really upset about this.

Oh wait... it has the fat plumber in it. Of course people will be upset.

They can still have system updates for the Wii, so nothing is impossible quite yet. Im sure everyone would love a new Friend code system.

iimawii - The same crap happens to me XD

I think Nintendo is worried about companies using the Miis and Online play in a good way, and then fans would expect more and better things from the Big N. It's understandable, but makes them look like jerks.

Hah... nerd rap.

I don't see nerd rap as a negative thing. Rap in general used to be a negative thing to me cause most of it made me envy deaf people. Usually some songs are done well and actually have some meaning behind them. At least with this "nerd rap" they come off humorous.

I've seen this before. It's pretty good.

What weird friends though.

I never said is is the best game I have ever played. I said in my opinion that it looks loke the best game that I WILL ever play.

But the topic clearly states that it's the greatest game ever made. Two critical flaws here:

1) A game has to be made (in this case, published) to be great.
2) The topic title is stated in a matter-of-fact, opinionated way. This has potential to be a pretty big flame war. :/

Tell me, did you make this topic to get me upset? Tongue

I will admit, it does look fun. It actually might make me less hostile towards Mario, something that's pretty hard to do, as I just have a LOT of beef to the guy.

Co-Op story mode is more and more rare these days, (Gears of War doesn't count since the game can be beaten in 4-6 hours Tongue ) so I was kind of shocked to see that. I'm hoping it won't be a Super Mario Sunshine, but I can't bring myself to get this game until I hear more about it from people after they actually play.
24  Nintendo Wii / Wii - General / Re: Easter eggs on: March 07, 2007, 11:43:26 AM
Iimawii - That's not pathetic... when I'm playing Guitar Hero, I usually mess up on a lot of really easy parts in the songs cause I'm a bit dyslexic too. Unless I'm thinking about it, I can mess up lots.

And yeah, better GCN support would be nice... It's great that it's the only 100% backwards compatable next-gen, but getting up to shut the thing down, power it back up and play a VC game is just silly. It's not too terribly big of a deal, but I'd still like it fixed Smiley

It's not the good kind of easter egg... when you load up a Gamecube disc and play it, it completely emulates the Gamecube and you can't use the home button, or power on/off the console.

Just a minor annoyance though.
26  Nintendo Wii / Game Chat / Re: Mario Party 8 Delayed! on: March 06, 2007, 12:59:03 AM
Meh. Once again, I'm not real excited about this game cause all the other Mario Parties after 3 were whored out, big time. The only real redeeming quality 8 has is the Wii controls, so again, I'm going to check it out at least. I just hated in the recent Mario Party games, at the end they would give out random stars for just about any reason they could think of, so your skill doesn't matter anymore.

But you really can't tell me Mario Party 8 was the ONLY thing you were looking forward to Cheesy

We're in off-topic buddy. Don't freak out about something not related to your Wii here.

Ehrgeiz is awesome! I still have my copy and a game guide for it that my parents got me to the game. It was a pretty fun fighter for it's time, but hasn't aged all that well. The FF7 characters available are Cloud, Tifa and Sephiroth, and you can unlock Vincent, Zach, and Yuffie.

I wouldn't call it a Squenix version of SSB since there are plenty of other FF characters they could have added that aren't in FF7.  It's still a really fun game though.

I always thought it would be cool to throw Tetriminos at people. However, there are tons of things to throw at people already.
29  Nintendo Wii / Wii - General / Re: Video Game Magazines - Best Wii Coverage? on: March 02, 2007, 12:18:37 AM
I got Game Informer through that discount card and all too. It's not a half bad magazine for all-around gaming, but don't know how well they focus on actual systems. (For this generation.)

I stopped getting Nintendo Power since I didn't read it much. It's not hard-core biased at all (they don't give crappy games good ratings just so you'll buy them) but little quirks here and there just turned me off to it. I don't need the extra paper lying around my house anywho.

This is really interesting, since I had to write a review paper for class and chose to review Red Steel.

I'm sure once you sit down and write the paper, ideas will flow into your head. Smiley
