Download games. Not sure as for full titles, you'll probably have to buy them. I'll take a bet that lesser known 3rd party games will be available though  :-)

Yeah, I doubt you'll be able to download Wii games. You'll most likely just have to buy them because they'll took up too much space.

Eh? Why would you need to pay to download the games? I'm sure if Microsoft managed it then Nintendo can surely have downloads for free. It's highly unlikely that Nintendo will do it, but perhaps this could even be that secret that they have been keeping from us and also the big announcement that was mentioned.

If they did that we'd need an external hard drive. I don't think they would fit on the wii's flash memory :-(

If you did purchase a game through the Virtual Console, you always own it and if your console does break and you get a new one, you can just log in and download it again.

Also, I had heard, I think from Shigeru but don't quote me on the person, that they will be selling smaller Wii games that show off the controller (similiar to WiiPlay) in Japan. No word yet on the U.S.

The only thing to do with full games are the downloadable updates, and those are free.

Would be nice if they included the US in this, like with the WiiPlay.  I think it's pretty cool to get a few games for $10 more.

I dont know if this fits into the conversation, but I hope they put a "demo" feature on the virtual console, so you can try out a game before you pay $5-10 for it.
