Wooooooo first post in the DS forum! So first I thought I'd make a generic topic about what's your favourite DS game and explain why, unless you're MysticGohan and you never post more than a couple lines.  :-P But then I changed it, thinking we should talk about our love for the DS/DSlite, as it's awesome.

There are many honourable mentions here, firstly being Super Mario 64 DS, as it was the first game I played. Used the thumb strap while playing and was like, 'Ooooooo this is the future of handheld gaming right here' and I was right, the touchscreen changed the gaming world for the better. Was the first time, in a handheld or a console that you had the accuracy you get in PC games with the mouse.

I loved the interface, so easy and the Picto-chat option, even though I havent used it all that much. I also thought it was pretty sexy (the original DS) despite it's chunkyness. But after a good year and a half's service, I traded it in......FOR A DSlite! Teh PWN! Even hotter!
The DS has a wide range or games, and even though I'm a hardcore gamer, the Touch! Generations titles I really enjoy, as do my girfriend, my sister, her boyfriend and my Mum and Dad.

I also love my Nintendo VIP DS T-shirt Nintendo sent me.

Unfortunetly I do not own a DS as of yet. However, the reason I am interested in it because of its variety in games, and its not just a variety...its a huge variety of great games. But the biggest reason that DS interests me is the uniqueness of it. I would never have thought of the future of handheld gaming with two screens, and ones a touch screen. I think that Nintendo is doing an excellent job with the DS and I would like to get one as soon as I get the cha-ching.

Personally, I love the DS because it has:
-A different way to play games with the touch screen.
-Online.
-Games/Sequels from the series that I like (Animal Crossing, WarioWare, Picross, Yoshi's Island, etc.).
-Touch Generations games.

I like my DS for so many reasons...

( Mini-List)

• Mini-Games - Super Mario 64 DS, to pick up and play really quick.
• Touch Screen - Getting you more involved in the game, same as the Wii  :-)
• Multi-Player Games - The best time I've had playing multiplayer since GoldenEye64 (not including online multi)
• RPGs - For a hand held, Nintendo has really put some good ones on there, and more to come.
• Variety Of Games - You combine all the classic heroes you've grown up with, ds exclusive games just made for the touch screen, ported games from the consoles, mini / simple games that allow anyone to pick up the DS and play.

Why do I love the DS?

Dual Screens:
-Games like Castlevania Dawn Of Sorrow, and Mario Kart DS both benefit from the two screens alot. The simple addition of a map has greatly improved the ease of play in those games that I mentioned. The former for the most part--love that map in Castlevania.

Touch Screen:
-Stuff like Pac 'n Roll and Kirby Canvas Curse prove that the touch screen is awsome. Magical Starsign make a pretty cool use of the touch screen as well. By far my favorite RPG on the system.

Games:
-2D heaven! All these 2D games are completely awsome(Castlevania, Magical Starsign, Children Of Mana, Kirby, etc)--mix with a nice selection of 3D (Dragon Quest Monster, FF3, Starfox, Mario Kart, etc). Graphical appreciation aside, the games I've mentioned are all great as well.

Not all of the reasons I love the DS, but my most important points are there.

I'll tell you why I hate the DS. I've got a DS now for about 2 years or less (release date) and I've only bougt 4 games includin 2 bad games. I now have to wait a year for zelda to come out and Pokémon will bee for next year or so and dragonquest too. So those are the only games I still wanna buy and I've bought my DS for 170 euros I think and for me it's a waste of money.  :x Sorry guys, you may like it but I don't.

Because the games are fun and it provides us games that couldn't be done on other consoles.  Also it revives the 2d games and that's pretty cool.

I just care for the games. There is a vast library of games for the DS that are actually good, unlike another handheld that rhymes with PSP.

Anyway, overall the DS is great and orgasmic! It just makes me want to make a fresh batch of man gravy.
