Will utilize wiimote and dance pad?

So....it will not just be the traditional DDR game? It will matter on both hand and feet motions? Is that right?

If that is....what the heck? I dunno. That would be way too hard....and way too expensive. Imagine how much a dance pad is plus the wiimote and nunchuk? Well, whatever...I was never one for DDR, so best of luck t DDR fans.

from what ive gathered from inside sources is that the wii mote will be used in conjunction with the dance pad. theyre either going to have the dance pad hook up into the gc ports on top (saving the people who bought mario mix a lil money) or they are working on making a wireless dance pad that you simply plug a dongle into the bottom of the wii mote and put batteries in the pad itself. personally im thinking they will go with the gc ports because of the battery genocide the wii mote has already wrought upon your stash of batteries and they dont want to have to implement a whole new thing to go in the wii mote. gc ports are active while playing a wii game so this is totally possible. from what ive gathered as well you can also play it w/o the wii mote and just use the dance pad. no matter what they choose im buying it.

The IGN dudes got to play the demo (it's like pre-beta at the moment, Konami has been working on it for like 3 weeks) and right now the dance pad goes into the gamecube ports. They have a mode where you can dance without the remotes, and they have a mode where you can dance without the pad. They also have a 2-player mode where one uses the pad and the other uses the remotes. They are going to implement as many different modes as they can.

i would advise the person that is using the pads not to be close to the wiimote dood

looks like my source was right. nxt gen or not not everyone has tons of batteries to throw away and i only have two sets of double rechargeables so if i have two or four in the pad ive got nothing to fall back on if the primary set in the wii mote dies. gc port will be fine.

Uck. Old-fashioned DDR for me please.

I really got turned off to the franchise since it got whored out to America. Ever since, the music just gets more awkward and the modes get more useless (EyeToy addon, and now Wiimotes?)

I'm waiting for the name to change from DDR to ADD now.

I work at a game store, but didn't get my Wii at that store, rather I waited at Best Buy during the second big shipment of Wiis on January 21st, and got the second to last one. This one little kid calls the store I work at EVERY SINGLE DAY to see if we have Wiis. One day, The call went:
Kid: Do you have a Wii?
Me: Yes I do... (pause) What do you need to know about it?
Kid: No, I meant can I buy one?
Me: Oh my, no. We've been sold out for weeks.
Kid: ...BYE
It may be mean, but he's annoying

oh dont worry, you dont HAVE to do the wii-mote thing. i never did the eyetoy thing on my ps2 for two reasons mostly but namely because the stupid thing didnt pick up your motions great unless you had some SERIOUS lighting behind you. ill get hottest party..... but do it minus the mote.

That's definetely what I'll do if I end up getting the game. I'm going to wait and see if online play is featured, and what kind of songlist they come up with. If it's anything like Supernova, maybe I'll borrow it from a friend.

I've always thought DDR was fun for partys, but never worth buying.
