i got my wii launch day, when i took it home i couldnt wait to set up online and play wii sports
when i got home i read the book and it said thier is no online play. i was dissapointed. i enjoyed playing wii sports and zelda tp but after i beat and spent hours of non stop gameplay into zelda and spending countless hours on playing wii sports with my friends. i realized the wii didnt quite meet my expectations
i admit the wii is fun but only for a few good classics that should arrive soon on the wii that im waiting for. i just dont believe the wii is as good as my ps3 and my 360 that i play nonstop

Well, I can see where your coming from. But by the end of the year, Wii will have with games like Super Mario Galaxy, Metroid Prime 3, and Super Smash Bros, Brawl and many other great games. 2007 will be a good year for Wii. And out of curiosity, what games do you have for your Playstation 3?

I agree, how good was 360 when it first came out? Now that its been out for over a year, it has a nice selection on AAA+ games. The Wii will just take until the end of the year and then you'll have your hands full deciding which game to play.

Yup, for some reason Nintendo decided to hold off on online for launch games, but some time ago they have sent out the dev kits to developers, allowing them to start adding online to upcoming games, so we should hopefully see the big titles later this year online compatible.

Wii isn't for everyone. I'm guessing you play games by yourself...a lot. The Wii, at this point, isn't for gamers who sit by themselves in a basement and play games and want to go online for competition. If its not meeting your current expectations, then you can sale it if you want. But you will be missing some great games in the future.

The biggest thing that i love about my Wii is the like community that you can have because of it...its just a great way to get people together to do stuff and another great distraction to your day...

I agree however that there isnt like the hardcore i'm going to play this game for 300+hours nonstop game out there yet, and kinda knowing the Nintendo history, there wont be one coming for a while.  To echo the sentiments above, keep with it even if its just collecting dust, at some point you'll definately realize how much fun it is, whcih most likely will occur not when your actually playing it but when others are and you're just there watching.

It's normal to think the way you are. After the blockbuster Zelda, you're looking for the next big game to play on the Wii and it's just not there. Unfortionently, you'll probably have to wait until the end of the year for the titles you're craving for now.

Online play is fun depending on the game, and instead of just slopping an online mode together, they're taking their time on it. You're going to have to stick with the 360 or get a gaming PC for amazing online play, I'm having a hard time thinking Nintendo's online play is going to be as good as Xbox live while still being free (the whole Wii Friend Code thing was... ick.)

However, I can't imagine you having a better time with the PS3's game choice. With nothing but sports and uninspired games coming out in the next 3 months as far as I know of, good luck finding a reason to keep that bad-boy. Just give the Wii some time and enjoy your 360 until the hits start coming.

I work at a game store, but didn't get my Wii at that store, rather I waited at Best Buy during the second big shipment of Wiis on January 21st, and got the second to last one. This one little kid calls the store I work at EVERY SINGLE DAY to see if we have Wiis. One day, The call went:
Kid: Do you have a Wii?
Me: Yes I do... (pause) What do you need to know about it?
Kid: No, I meant can I buy one?
Me: Oh my, no. We've been sold out for weeks.
Kid: ...BYE
It may be mean, but he's annoying
