The photoshopped screenshot probably came about because of the rumors and speculation of Sonic being in SSBB. It was probably someone who was messing around, posted it on their site and said "hey, how neat it would be if it was real..." and then someone saw the pic, didn't read the words, and started going haywire about it.

Yeah, I've noticed that happens a lot. Especially if the site is in a different language and people just see the pic and think something completely different then what it actually says.
