If you found previous Pokemon games to be good, pick it up. This is a lot like the other games, so if you the extra money to burn...definetly get it - afterall, its friggin' pokemon and who doesn't love a mouse who can fire electric bolts out of its rosy cheeks? Besides that, expect the same annoying, drawn-out introduction and after that its smooth sailing until you get to the Final Four who will severely f*&^ you up. Now if you weren't fond of previous pokemon games, don't bother. If you never played a pokemon game before, I would suggest getting this still because it is a solid game that will keep you occupied for tons of hours or in other words, its well worth the 35 USD.

Yeah, the games are pretty nice even though they feel and play like all the other Pokemon games.

I was just playing around with my computer speakers and plugged them into my DS Lite and started Pearl. It's a pretty smooth transition from the DS to my speakers and isn't jittery, etc.

Yeah, I agree. The sound quality is much better and with my sub it adds a better experience to the game.
