Disconnected?(the stupid Pokemon diamond and pearl gts problem)

Me and my brother were kicked off the gts ( i think). We cant get back on and my brother had his Giratina up for trade there and cant get it back. I dont no why, its just... well......stupid. Anyone have an idea what it means by "You were disconnected from the GTS"?

I don't have the game, but I imagine there might be something in the manual about it.

The system might have been disconnected for an update to the GTS. Maybe a move to another server, or something like that. I would take the time to check if I can connect to the GTS, but I'm too lazy and tired to do it.
