i rented MP8 yesterday and came home, put in to the wii, i go to the disc channel, and POW it said i needed to update my wii, so i did it and nothing happen. So can someone tell me what this update was for?

yea i think this game just takes a quick update to play the game, it did that for me too. I dont think it does anything.

Could have...the backup file that you burned could have come with the update already installed, thereby not making your Wii do a system update to play MP8.

OK, No my wii has no modchip and i looked in the booklet that came in the case and it said that a update (dont no if it said a update will go or might go) be launched so ya..... i guess want to no what the hell the update does...

Well, it wouldn't be the mod chip then, it would be the image file... which is my point :-P

well i rented it and i think its worth a good 50 bucks. you can do so much stuff witht he wii mote and the mini games are so fun(there so random like warioware) but the one thing thats no to cool about it is that the career mode is called star battle and you only have to do 6 star battles and they take about 30min - 1hour a battle. in my rating standers i think its a 9 out of 10.

EDIT:i found out what the update is, its the lastest system menu (whatever that is) so someone tell me what the system menu is?
