I have come to wiivolution many of time, seeking answers. Today, it is Sim City DS. Does anyone have this game and is it any good? I have been looking at it and it seems like it would be fun, but there are many complaints about it from those that have played Sim City before on the PC. Complaints range from: only one save space to limited variety of buildings. However, I have no problem with any of that. But nothing on the gameplay has been said. So please! If you own this game, let me know about the gameplay and if its any fun.

Never fear Eric is here!

I picked the game up awhile back during the TRU Buy 2 Get 1 Free deal and I really like it. I'm a big Sim City 4 fan myself, and while it wasn't quite as good as I thought it would be, it's still Sim City, it's still portable, and it's still fun. As for the gameplay itself it's a very simplified version of Sim City 4. For example, there are no water pipes, so like electricity they just flow in between connected zones, and there aren't as many problems because it isn't as intricate. The biggest complaint is definitely the lack of save space, which only allows for one city at a time, which is very lame, but doesn't ruin it. I'm not big on having a massive variety of buildings so it doesn't bother me, but I think that there are plenty in the game. Other than that I don't like it that you have to bulldoze an entire zone to re-zone it and the advisers can get annoying, but those are really the only complaints. I still have a lot of fun with it, it's definitely a different Sim City in itself, you'll be building a ton of hospitals and schools, as opposed to just maybe one or two in Sim City 4.

Overall I would definitely recommend it to any Sim City fan, because at it's core it's still about designing and creating your own city and addressing it's problems, if just in a much easier simplified way. If you all have anymore specific questions I would be happy to answer them.
